A Note from Pastor Rich
My VBS Thank You
I want to thank everyone who worked so hard to make VBS come to life. As
you know, it takes an army of volunteers to make all the parts of a success-
ful Bible school work together. As a first-timer here at Langley I witnessed
the work, commitment and long hours of our volunteers. The meals were
wonderful. Our teachers and workers did a great job in each class. I was
particularly impressed with how each teacher communicated the message of
Jesus to the children. All your efforts planted seeds in the lives of boys and
girls. As I watched the eyes of the children each night through the lens of my
camera I saw the faces of children loving VBS. Thanks to Julie and all the
team for your hard work!
As an item of praise $1,287 was raised through the Carolina-Clemson offer-
ing challenge at this year’s VBS. This money will be used for Operation
Christmas Child shoeboxes. We’re going to have a LOT of boxes this year!
Clemson won the challenge but nobody lost. Boys and girls around the world
are going to benefit from the OCC shoeboxes.
Finally, congratulations to Clifford Rushton and Kendell Chalker who were
elected to serve as deacons.
