Volleyball: Lesson Plan #3 Subject Area: Team Sports Time allotted for the lesson: 1 five day weeks of 45 Minute Class Periods Short description of lesson: State Curriculum Standards met in this lesson: Georgia Performance Standards for Physical Education PEHS.1: Demonstrates competency in motor skills and movement patterns needed to perform a variety of physical activities. Description: Students in grades 9 – 12 will demonstrate the ability to participate in a variety of invasion, net/wall, field, target, individual, outdoor, fitness activities, rhythms, and dance. Week 4 Day 1: Analyze the graphic above and read the information provided. Ask questions until you fully understand the technique and strategy of blocking a ball hit over the net.

D2: Drills will be practiced in the gym.

D3: Begin practice games and attempt the block, along with the bump, set, spike and serve.

D4-5: Scrimmage games! :)
