The type of volcano!The type of volcano!

• The Dunedin volcano is a shield volcano which means it is broad and low. It is made from lave slowly oozing out and cooling

• The Dunedin volcano first started erupting over 16 million years ago.

• The volcano had three main eruptive phrases with the most recent one around 10 million years ago. The remnants of the volcanic crater are the hills that surround Dunedin; Signal Hill, Mt Cargill, Flagstaff, Harbour Cone and Saddle Hill.

around the harbour, it is now and has always been under water, When volcanoes erupt they cause ash clouds, its really really old, it started erupting about 16 million year’s ago

• Dunedin volcano is a shield volcano which means it is broad and low and is made from lava slowly oozing out and cooling
