(a) The participants have learning difficulties, mental health, drug and/or alcohol or behavioural issues or are lacking family support or stability;

(b) The program aims to support the participants through educating them on various topics including mental health and wellbeing with the support of program co-ordinators and mentors; and

(c) The program will be run in partnership with Kingston High School, Taroona High School, Colony 47, PCYC and the Drug Education Network (DEN).

Granted on the 30th day of October 2017.

The exemption is for the period of 3 years subject to the fulfilment of the conditions that Kingborough Council:

a) report on or before 30 April 2018 to the Anti-Discrimination Commissioner on actions taken in reliance on this exemption; and

b) on at least one occasion in the 6 months immediately after this order is made, Kingborough Council will provide an education program to increase awareness of rights and obligations under the Anti-Discrimination Act 1998 (Tas). The participants will include senior managers and program co-ordinators employed by Kingborough Council.

A person may apply to the Anti-Discrimination Tribunal for a review of the Commissioner’s decision within 28 days from the date of this notice being published.

Pursuant to the powers under the Fisheries (Rock Lobster) Rules 2011 ("the Rules") that were delegated to the Director (Marine Resources) on 19 August 2015 by the Minister acting pursuant to section 20(1) of the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995 ("the Act"), I hereby determine that the part of the rock lobster fishery that comprises of the activities of the taking of rock lobster, diving for rock lobster, the setting of a rock lobster pot or the use of a rock lobster ring is closed from 18 November 2017 in the:

• “Central East Zone”;

• “Maria Island Zone”;

• “Lower East Zone”; and,

• “Storm Bay Bruny zone”;

where:

“Central East Zone” is defined to mean State waters off the east coast of Tasmania south of the line of the line of latitude at 41° 40’ South and north of the line of latitude at 42° 10’ South excluding any of the waters within Great Oyster Bay;

"Maria Island Zone" is defined to mean the area of State waters adjacent to the east coast of Tasmania bounded in the north by the line of latitude at 42º 10’ South and bounded in the south by the line of latitude at 42º 49’ South, and also including all the waters within Great Oyster Bay north of latitude at 42º 10’ South;

“Lower East Zone” is defined to mean the area of State waters adjacent to the south east coast of Tasmania bounded in the north by the line of latitude running due east of Marion Bay at 42º 49’ South and bounded in the south by the line of longitude running due south of Cape Pillar, at 148º East; and,

“Storm Bay Bruny Zone” is defined to mean the area of State waters adjacent to the south coast of Tasmania bounded in the east by the line of longitude running due south of Cape Pillar at 148° East and bounded in the west by the line of longitude running through the southernmost extremity of Whale Head at 146° 52’ 15” E.

Any expression used in this public notice having a particular meaning under the Act or the Rules has the same meaning in this public notice as it has in the Act or the Rules.
