The Apostle John’s vision in Revelation 7:9 gives us a glimpse of what is waiting for those who place their faith in Christ. “After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb.” God is at work calling people from all around the world to turn from their sins and turn to Jesus. His kingdom is expanding as people entrust their lives to a crucified and risen Savior. That’s why Southern Baptists faithfully send missionaries to make Jesus known to people groups who have never heard this good news. The work of our missionaries is making an eternal difference in the lives of so many. During the month of December our congregation will join with churches from across our denomination in participating in the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions. Currently, 3,692 missionaries are engaging 847 people groups in hearing the gospel. In the past year, 77,605 people responded to a gospel presentation receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. 52,586 new believers followed Christ in baptism.

Our hearts go out to Debbie & Andrew Myers

and family at the death of her dad, Edgar

Rater. Services were held on Monday,

November 18, in Paris, TX.

13,898 new churches have been planted since this time last year. 85,362 indigenous leaders receive pastoral, church planting, or theological training. Among them are 18,428 pastors who received training to better carry out their call-ing. One of the great needs people in other nation’s experience is to have the Bible translated into their own language. 25% of the languages spoken around the world do not have a translation of the scriptures. This means that there are 2,469 people groups who do not have access to the word of God. Our participation in the Lottie Moon Offering is reaching multitudes of people as we support the outreach of our missionaries. That’s why our church has set a goal of $4,000 for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering this year. Please pray about how God would have you give and then simply be obedient as he leads. The joy of knowing that our gifts enabled someone to hear and receive the good news of life through faith in Jesus will be worth the sacri-fice we make. Craig

Please sign up in the foyer if you would like to receive pages of the new additions to the directory. Clayton Boyd will make these available when he knows how many would like to have them. Once he has that information, you will need to bring your directory to the church and he will insert them in the bound directories.

Music Notes Christmas season is right upon us, a time when we tradition-ally honor our Savior’s birth. We have two musicals prepared by our Children’s choir and Adult choir. The Children’s choir will present “Follow the Star” created by Suzie Williams, Luke Gambill and David Ebensberger. This will be Sunday morning December 8, during our morning worship. Our Adult Choir will present “Messiah, Heaven’s Glory” created by Russell Mauldin and Sue Smith. This will be Sunday, December 15, during our morning worship. Please know, as always, we welcome your friends, neighbors and relatives to each of these events.
