Ratio

Definition: A ratio compares numbers in a set order.

Example: The ratio of men to women in the green box is 3:1.

Definition: Rates compare things that are measured differently.

Example: A woman walks 5km (distance) in 1 hour (time).

Definition: Scale is a ratio of the size of something compared to the size of something else.

Example: This toy car is 4cm long. The real car is 400cm long. The scale is 4:400.
