In this short post I’m going to reveal the major vitamin b12 benefits, what makes it unique and why you should really care.

Vitamin b12 is one of these substances that were discovered by accident from a disease known as pernicious anemia. This is a disease in which there is a decrease in red blood cells, and this is not good because they transfer oxygen around the body.

In the 1920's a physician named George Whipple started doing experiments where he induced this low red blood cell condition in dogs and experimented with various foods.

This is very sad because I love dogs. He did notice liver helped a lot and that sort of became the cure.

Then in 1947 physicians finally isolated what was in liver that cured this disease and named it vitamin b12.

Besides the obvious benefit of ensuring there is enough red blood cells this little substance does some very interesting things.

For starters it can help with converting carbohydrates into energy in the body. This decreases lethargy and the feeling of not wanted to move, while helping someone shed some unwanted pounds.

Do you ever have trouble falling asleep like your brain just will not turn off? If so this vitamin may help because it makes melatonin, which is the hormone responsible for you going to sleep. It also makes serotonin that chemical that creates a calming feeling.

Do you care about skin care, hair health and nails? If you’re a bald guy like me then perhaps no, but if you’re a normal person you might and yep this stuff helps cells regenerate which helps all these areas.

It is also extremely important for the brain, preventing brain shrinkage as well as the nervous system.

Plus it helps protect someone against cancer, heart disease by improving cholesterol, high blood pressure, strokes and can enable someone to walk on water.

Ok, the walking on the water part is not true I just wanted to see if you were listening to me.

Foods with the highest amount of this substance would be liver, shellfish, eggs, fish, crab, cereal, beef and cheese.

I highly recommend taking some sort of vitamin supplement to get it. The truth is that are food just doesn't have the nutritional value like it used to, and it's important to get enough of this stuff.

Not all supplements are created equal and did you know that between 2007 and mid 2012 the FDA in the U.S. received more than 6,300 reports of serious adverse effects linked to dietary supplements.

Seriously how do you even know that the supplements you’re taking are safe and do what they say? You really don't because government agencies don't evaluate them because they don't have the time and resources.

Due to this I created a guide that can help someone in the process of choosing supplements. It goes over how to spot a good brand from a bad one, various herbal remedies and much more.

Now I could easily charge for this guide, but I decided to make it free as a gift for enrolling in a video newsletter about supplements. So, you have no excuse not to at least take a glance at it by clicking on the link free supplement guide.
