InspectionSummary

A visual internal inspection was conducted on Treater after it had been adequately cleaned. Internal access to the Hot End was through firetube nozzles. Internal access to Cold End was through side shell 24" manways. Vessel is epoxy coated.

HOT END:- Firetube nozzles - Minor coating failures noted on both firetube nozzles. No wall loss / pitting noted on firetube nozzles on areas of exposed steel surfaces. Firetube nozzle coating failures not repaired at this time as per CNRL area inspector, as repair would be damaged during firetube re-installation. No significant corrosion or damage noted on firetube nozzle throats or on nozzle flange face gasket seating surfaces.- Vessel head and shell within hot section was found to be epoxy coated. Coating was found to be in good overall condition, with only one small coating failure noted on btm shell. No pitting / wall loss was noted at shell coating failure location. Coating failure on shell was repaired. - Presence of coating prevented inspection of welds for welding defects.

Date: December 15, 2015 Description: Vessel Exchanger Furnace BoilerInspector: Ed Tymensen Unit #: n/a Equip #: Treater A - Tag # TR-2701AAgent Co: Streamline Inspection Equip. Name: TreaterOwner: CNRL Jurisdiction #: A0427288 CRN #: N8032.2Region: Slave Lake Manufacturer: Natco CanadaArea: North Brintnell Year Built: 1997 S/N: 6968-03Facility: North Brintnell Battery Location/LSD: 07-27-082-21w4mNotes: - Inlet horseshoe downcomer access panels were not removed at time of inspection. This prevented an inspection of the shell behind the

inlet downcomers.- Baffle plate dividing hot end from cold, and inlet horseshoe downcomer were found to be in good condition and securely attached.- Firetube supports and hangers were found to be in good condition. - Bottom and overhead desand lines and all other internal piping were found to be in good condition overall, well supported and securely attached.- Anodes were removed at time of inspection. Anodes were found to be in approx 75% consumed. Anode nozzles were not adequately cleaned for a visual internal inspection. A UT examination was conducted on all anode nozzles to inspect for corrosion. All drain lines were found to be full of liquid preventing an internal visual of drain nozzles. These lines were also UT examined.- All visually accessible nozzles, were found to be in good condition with no erosion or corrosion noted.- One small coating failure noted on downcomer plate, not repaired at this time.- Internal sample point tubingin good condition and securely attached

COLD END:- Vessel head and shell within cold section was found to be epoxy coated. Coating was found to be in good overall condition, with only one small coating failures noted on btm shell. No pitting / wall loss was noted at coating failure location. Coating failure on shell was patch repaired. - Presence of coating prevented inspection of welds for welding defects. Several areas of coating failure were found on spreader boxes, no corrosion noted.- This section of the treater appears to have had an electrostatic grid as hangers were noted welded to top shell, but grid was not in place at time of inspection. - All flow spreader boxes / piping, desand lines and other internal piping were found to be in acceptable condition, well supported and secure. Several areas of coating failures were noted on flow spreader boxes and piping, which were not repaired at this time. No corrosion noted at coating failure locations on flow spreaders. - 2 anodes were still in place at time of inspection. Anodes were found to be approx 75% consumed. Presence of anodes prevented an internal visual of those nozzles. All anode nozzles were UT inspected to look for internal corrosion. - All visually accessible nozzles, were found to be in good condition with no obstructions or corrosion noted.- Manway nozzles and gasket seating surfaces were found to be in good condition with no corrosion or damage noted.- Several foating failures noted on internal edge of west manway, not repaired at this time.

- Due to the presence of some anodes in the anode nozzles, and the liquid found in some drains, all anode and drain nozzles were 100% UT'd. Minor erosion noted on 2 drain line elbows. No wall loss noted on drain or anode nozzles. See report UET-151215a for details and locations.

- All coating failures noted on shell were patch repaired by Streamline Inspection with Enviroline 124 2 part epoxy. Manufacturer's specs state a minimum metal temp of -7 C required. Patch repairs were done at -8 C (patch repaires conducted as requested by client). No coating repairs done on flow spreader boxes, manway or firetube nozzles.

- Burners and exhaust stacks appear to be in good condition with no concerns noted.
