Information, which always arrives.With IP, information is split into datapackets, which are able to “travel” viadifferent routes, and are only recompiledwhen they reach their destination. The communications terminal.Everything under control.When everything again has to happenquickly: The system’s clear constructionand logical structure minimises the risk ofincorrect operation. 3 large presence keysfor nurses, service calls and doctors, keysfor calls, doctor calls and communications,the three line fully graphical display andthree interactive keys to the right of thedisplay transform the communicationsterminal into an intelligent remote station.Easy to remember: Doctor functions in thesystem are all blue!

Additional functions,simple installation.Thanks to the integrated radio controlling,the preparation of the multifunction keysas special function keys, the built-inmicrophone and loudspeaker and the simpleinstallation using a plastic frame mountedon a standard installation case, the terminalgains more plus points.

A contact-free smartcard reader is built intothe patient handset – user charges arebilled as cashless transactions.

Antimicrobial Styling.Pathogens have no chance: With a casemade out of plastic and the operatingmembrane keypad containing antimicrobialadditives, the highest level of hygiene isensured – thereby assisting staff membersin the otherwise very laborious cleaningprocess. Water also has no chance: Thesplash resistant case ensures that nothinghappens, even if something does happen.

Connection to the outside world evenfor the most heavily disabled.The integrated infrared receiver interpretsthe signals, which the patient sends usingthe type of trigger which is most suitablegiven his condition. The spectrum ofpossibilities ranges from a largebutton, across voice recognitionsystems and switches that respondto breathing to sensors which“translate” the blinking of eyelids.The VISOCALL IP’s infraredinterface can be configuredfor every input device and ittherefore well-equipped for allfuture developments.

Everything can be controlledwith a single device.Using the new handset, patients can controlall available services from their hospitalbed – such as nurse calls, radio, television,telephone, blinds, and operating electricallyadjustable beds etc.

Auto-disconnecting plugs:The cleverer device gives in.In the event of strain in any direction,the self-disconnecting plugs give in, andpop out of the plug module. This protectsthe sensitive LAN contacts and preventsmechanical damage – for example whenthe patient bed is moved.

Multimedia Terminal.Information and entertainmenton a jointed arm.The flat panel Multimedia Terminal makesa stay in hospital varied, informative andrelaxing. As well as television, teletext,radio, internet and reading light functions,it also has extra inputs for DVD playersand games consoles. It is a multifunctionalcommunications centre with excellentpicture quality, with a timeless design andwhich is simple to operate.
