Coronavirus Status Update

■ At HORIBA MIRA we are committed to protecting the health and wellbeing of our team, customers, visitors and their families

■ Since the UK lockdown commenced on 23 March, we’ve facilitated home working for >50% of our team, enabling much of our engineering and research work to continue using secure online tools and systems

■ This document details the measures in place that will protect the health and wellbeing of everyone on-site as we pull out of the Coronavirus pandemic and beyond

Before Visiting Site

■ With many of us home working, please contact us directly via mobile, email, Microsoft Teams / Skype, where possible

- If you do not have these details, our reception team will be able to connect you

■ While we are prepared and able to support visits to our site, if you have any of the symptoms of coronavirus, or a condition that warrants that you should not visit us, please talk to us about ways we can arrange a virtual meeting

- We support a range of online meeting tools and can arrange virtual witnessing and remote links to software tools

■ If a visit is required, and you have no underlying health conditions or your health condition has been acknowledged by your GP as no longer ‘at risk’, please agree this with your host in advance, providing visitor details and arrival times, so arrangements can be put in place for you

Arrival Onto & Leaving Site

■ Upon arrival, you will be expected to follow the procedures identified by our Security team – this will include a questionnaire and a temperature check

- If your temperature is 37.8°C or over, you will not be allowed to enter site

- Our Security team will be wearing PPE for their and your protection

- Please park your vehicle by reversing into a space

■ Once on-site, an area-specific induction will take place from the team youare visiting, including first aid and emergency response procedures

- If required before being taken into an area, you will be issued with appropriate PPE, such as masks and gloves, and given guidance on how to use them

■ Please don’t be offended that we won’t shake your hand or hold doors open – this is so we can maintain the 2m isolation gap at all times

- At Reception and Track Control, screens are now place for protection

■ As you leave site, please follow instructions from your host and our security teams

On-site Amenities

The Hub & Costa

■ A takeaway-only service is available■ Please observe the one way system and floor markings to ensure 2m distancing■ Screens will be in place for the protection of catering staff and visitorsVending Machines

■ Self-serve machines will be unavailable until further notice

Kitchens

■ Until further notice, we will ask you to make your own refreshments using the disposable cups and spoons we have made available

Toilets

■ To ensure 2m distancing, only one person is permitted into the room■ New ‘vacant’ / ‘occupied’ signage on the outer door to the room must now be used

Accessing & Using the Proving GroundSpecific User Information

■ MIRA Technology Park Tenants with large numbers of Proving Ground users have been allocated banks of radios and chargers. These users are asked to:

- Book onto circuits remotely by contacting Track Control – 02476 355 388

- Sanitise the radios issued once testing has been completed

■ Daily Proving Ground Users

- Please collect a radio from the Control Centre reception area

- Contact Track Control to book onto circuits by telephone (number above) or radio

- Return radios to the allocated collection point on completion of testing for disinfecting

■ Less Frequent or New Users

- Please go to the Track Control office on Floor 2 of the Control Centre

■ Please consider social distancing when moving around the Control Centre due to the narrow stairways

Accessing & Using the Proving GroundInformation For All Users

■ When queuing to book on or off, please observe floor markings■ Radios will be cleaned and disinfected before issue and again on return■ In an emergency, Security and Proving Ground teams will respond as normal

- Additional precautions will be taken including the use of face masks and gloves- In the event of an incident where a casualty is not breathing, first responders will not

administer mouth to mouth resuscitation but will instead use a resuscitation mask- NB: Should emergency services be required, response times may be extended

■ Present Risk Assessments in good time for review and discussion prior to testing- Please consider including SSOW* for COVID-19 (considerations for vehicle cleaning,

emergency support and use of PPE, such as helmets should be included)

■ We will be looking to avoid high risk test activities in this period to reduce the potential drain on emergency services

■ Fuel station and electric vehicle charging points are open as normal- Please use gloves when handling the equipment and hand sanitizer before and after use

Delivering & Collection of Vehicles & Test Items

■ Please speak to your contact before sending parts, equipment or vehicles to site

■ Agree a delivery plan, ensuring deliveries are clearly marked with: your contact details, your HORIBA MIRA contact, delivery location, how item(s) will be delivered

■ Your contact will provide details on how items should be cleaned prior to delivery and how we will clean items once received

■ If vehicles are delivered in person, specific SSOW apply

- Vehicles will be parked up for 30 minutes before your contact will engage with the vehicle

■ When items are ready to be collected, we will provide clear direction of where, when and with whom the collection can be arranged and the cleaning processes carried out

■ If any interaction is required when delivering item(s), this will be managed by our Security and local operations teams, to ensure social distancing and other safety measures are adhered to

■ Please provide information and discuss availability of test items and order cover in good time

■ Highlight any potential concerns or implications associated with the movement of parts, vehicles, people or the need to alter activities

■ Where possible, make use of remote operations and witnessing to remove the need to come onto site

■ Follow our Safe Systems of Work at all times, and take responsibility for yourself and those around you
