description

The United Methodist Free Store opened in 1999 on the urban south side of Columbus, Ohio. Its atmosphere of unconditional love and hospitality fostered the dream of a church “for all people” that would be intentionally cross class, multi-racial and diverse, with a new model of service and worship that was “with” the poor, not just “for” the poor.

Front Porch to the Kingdom

Begun in 2002, The Church for All People grew out of the message of unconditional love offered by the Free Store. We are intentionally cross-class and multi-racial. We are a member of the worldwide United Methodist Church. Through our Community Development Corporation we work to improve the economic and social condition of the Southside area with affordable housing, the Free Store, health and wellness efforts, education, music, meals and more.

Participating in Church

You do not have to be a church member, a United Methodist, or be baptized to participate in the activities of this

church, attend worship or take communion. If you wish to learn more about baptism or membership, please contact our pastors.

Prayer Ministries

The Prayer Room is open after worship and as needed throughout the week. The prayer ministry team gathers at 5:00 pm Wednesdays and prays over prayer requests gathered from worship and our prayer boxes.
