The Foxboro 12 year old Nationals couldn't wait to start the summer season. They
had high expectations as they would be led by 3 players from the Boston College
Eagle squad that just won the majors division championship," smooth" Sean Bu-
bencik,"the iceman" Mike LaVita, and the "magnet" Jack Groves. They started off
fast, going 4-1 in their first 5 games, but a couple injuries to "the hammer" Eric
Kristenson, and "kangaroo" Ashton Block gave them a little setback. The steady
play of "bull" Anthony S Ferrazza ,"the squirrel "Cam Barrerria, "Mr Flaherty" Ow-
en Flaherty,"Dr B" Dante Randall-Black,"spogs "Paul Spognardi, and clutch pitch-
ing by "the quiet man "Sean McElihinney the men finished the regular season 7
and 5,and a return match against Mansfield. After going down early, the Nationals
tied the game at 5all, only to see the season end 12 - 5. The outstanding hitting of
LaVita, Block, and Kristensen carried the team all summer. Great Work men.
The 11 year old’s American Team had a fantastic summer season making it all
the way to the Hockomock Championship game against #1 seed Norfolk. The
kids fought hard keeping Norfolk on edge before falling short. Great job boys!

12 year old Nationals
The 8U Blue Friendship team finished a great season with a playoff loss to Plainville. The team improved dramatically over the course of the sea-son. They finished with a 3-4-1 record, but for this group of 7 and 8 year old's facing their first inter-town competition it was a great experience. They played a tournament in Walpole, and played their first game under the lights. They were very competitive in every league game and even took the league champion down to the wire.
