DirectionsOn entering Arakoon National Park, follow the signs to Trial Bay Gaol ruins and campground for 1km.The campground office is located in the entrance building of Trial Bay Gaol. There is a carpark at the front of the gaol.Vehicle access 2WD vehicles / sealed roads / all weather

Wheelchair accessibility Wheelchairs can access most areas; assistance to the beach is required. Wheelchair accessible toilets and showers are available.

Check in and check outCheck in after 2pm, check out before 12pm. Campers must check in at the office during office hours. Arrivals after 4.30pm can book sites by contacting 1300 072 757 or nationalparks.nsw.gov.auPIN code access to amenities are advised through your booking confirmation email.

ParkingParking is available next to your campsite or on the adjacent side of the road. There is a limit of 1 vehicle and trailer per site. Extra vehicles must park in the carparks.

For walk-in campsitesThere is no allocated parking next to your campsite. Campers must park their vehicle in carparks available. Vehicle access to walk-in campsites is only available during office hours (key access).

Park entrance feePark entrance fees do not apply in this national park.

Types of campingAll equipment must be kept within the campsite boundaries and must be at least 1.5m from the site boundaries in accordance with fire regulations. You may set up 1 tent or campervan/trailer/caravan and annex on your site. There is a limit of 1 vehicle and trailer per site. Campsites are marked and suitable for caravans, camper trailers, campervans and tents.

Number of guestsMaximum number of guests 6 guests per site.Campers found not paying for the correct number of guests will be asked to leave the campground immediately without refund.

FacilitiesPIN codes are provided on your booking confirmation email to access amenities. Day use amenities have cold showers and toilets and do not require PIN codes.• Trial Bay Kiosk Restaurant (fees apply)• Trial Bay Gaol and museum (fees apply)• Gas barbecues (coin operated)• Showers (hot and cold) and toilets (flush)• Laundry facilities• Camp kitchen with hotplate, cook top, fridge/freezer,

There’s also a concrete boat ramp at Laggers Point (closed 9pm to 7am during NSW and QLD school holidays and during major events).

Power and waterDrinking water is available. Powered campsites (45-61 and 74-81) have power, water and sullage. The Main, Beach Front and Terrace amenity blocks have lights and power points. The Sea Front and Little Bay amenity blocks (outside campground) have no power. Power points can not be used for recharging of car batteries.

Telephone/mobile serviceThere is mobile coverage for Telstra and Optus customers.

FiresFires are not permitted. Any visitor-owned cooking facilities must comply with Australian standards. Campers are not to set up and use picnic shelters as permanent camps/kitchens.Total fire bans During a total fire ban (minimum 24-hour period):• All campfire and solid fuel (wood, heat beads,

charcoal, briquettes, hexamite) and liquid fuel (petroleum, oil, methylated spirits, kerosene) barbecues and stoves are prohibited

• All visitor-owned gas and electric barbecues and cookers are prohibited (total fire bans do not restrict the use of gas or electric cookers within a caravan or 3-sided enclosed annexe of a caravan)

Rubbish Place rubbish and recycling in the bins provided, located at the north end of the kiosk carpark. Visit the office 9am to 4pm for access to the Dump Ezy; a key deposit applies.The key should be returned immediately.

NoisePlease be considerate of others and keep noise to a minimum. Noise should cease by 10pm. Failure to comply will result in being asked to leave the park with no refund.Please note that campsites near the boat ramp may experience some early morning noise from 4am, January to April as fishermen gather for marlin season.

PetsPets and domestic animals (other than certified assistance animals) are not permitted.

SmokingNSW national parks are no smoking areas.

Not permittedAmplified musicAmplified music is not permitted

Anti-social behaviourDrunken, offensive, anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and offenders will be asked to leave the park, with no refund.

AttachmentsRopes, clothing, towels or any camping or fishing equipment must not be attached to trees.

GeneratorsGenerators are not permitted.

BookingsBookings can be made up to 12 months in advance. During NSW and QLD school holidays, bookings can be made for 7 days, Saturday to Saturday only.

FishingA current NSW recreational fishing licence is required when fishing in all waters. Licenced commercial fishers operate on the beach at Trial Bay using beach haul. Under the NSW Fisheries Act, they have right of way over other beach users in some circumstances. Your co-operation is appreciated.
