The delegates were welcomed by Shri S Sash Kumar, Director In-charge and were given a briefing on the capabilies of CMTI. The delegates visited the various facilies of the instute including some of the recent high technology product development and various R&D acvies carried out by the instute in Nano Technology, Sensor & Vision Technology. Around CMTI

The following training programmes were organized by Academy of Excellence for Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AEAMT) during May to July 2015.

• A 3 days programme on ‘Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing’ was conducted from 14th

to 16th September 2015, by AEAMT Dept., CMTI, at ‘M/s. HAL Mgt Academy, Bangalore’, 18 members participated.

• A 3 days programme on ‘Uncertainty of Measurements for Dimensional Measurements’ was conducted from 28th to 30th September 2015, by AEAMT Dept., CMTI, at ‘M/s. Ashok Leyland, Ennore, Chennai’, 9 members participated.

• A 11 days programme on ‘Design, GD & T, Machining & Metrology’ was organized for ‘Applied Materials, Bangalore’ on 17th Aug to 01st September 2015, by AEAMT Dept., CMTI, 20 members participated.

• A 12 days programme (Residential) on ‘GD & T, PMM, CDME & NDT’ was organized for ‘Brahmos Aerospace, New Delhi’ on 31st August to 11th September 2015, by AEAMT Dept., CMTI, 15 members participated.

AEAMT PROGRAMMES

Visit of the Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, New Delhi.

Shri Amitabh Kant, Secretary, DIPP, New Delhi visited CMTI on 15th September 2015. The Director In-charge, Shri S Satish Kumar along with the Secretary visited the various departments of CMTI and also the newly constructed AEAMT building and NMTC building under progress.

Shri Shailendra Singh, Joint Secretary (JS) & CVO (Chief Vigilence Officer), DIPP, visited CMTI on 6th October 2015 for familiarization with facilities and activities of CMTI. JS visited the various facilities of the institute including some of the recent high technology product development and various R&D activities carried out by the institute in Nano Technology, Sensor & Vision Technology including newly constructed AEAMT building and NMTC building under progress. He has evinced keen interest in the activities of CMTI.

"Hindi Divas" The "Hindi Week" was organized at CMTI from 21st to 25th September 2015 as part of

"Promoting Official Language- Hindi" in day-to-day working in the Institute. As part of the celebrations, “Hindi Divas” was celebrated on 19th September 2015. Prof. TGH Prabhashankar, Retired Professor of Hindi, Bangalore University was the chief guest and Shri S Satish Kumar, Director In-charge presided over the function. The prizes were distributed by the chief guest to the winners of various competitions such as"Speech in Hindi" and "Writing an on spot Essay in Hindi after Seeing a Snap".

CELEBRATIONS

"Ayudha Puja"

'Ayudha Puja' was celebrated with usual fervor, grandeur and devotion at CMTI on 22nd October 2015. Shri S Satish Kumar, Director In-charge, addressed the employees and their families and acknowledged the CMTI’s contribution to various ongoing and future upcoming projects of National importance. Prizes were also distributed to the wards of the employees who had excelled in their academic career by the Director In-charge and Joint Director’s.

"Vigilance Awareness Week" from 26th to 31st October 2015

The 'Vigilance Awareness Week' was observed at CMTI from 26th to 31st October 2015. As part of the celebration, the oath taking of the pledge received from the Government was administered by Smt. S Usha, Joint Director to all the employees followed by the discussions on this year’s theme of “PREVENTIVE VIGILANCE AS A TOOL OF GOOD GOVERNANCE” on 26th October 2015.

Shri C Madhu, Manager P & IR, LIC, Bangalore was the chief guest for the function organized on 30th

October 2015 to mark the vigilance awareness week. He narrated about vigilance and corruption. Vigilance will keep the good health of the organization. On this occasion 'speech competition'was organized and winners were felicitated by the chief guest.

Shri Shyam Sunder BL, Office Superintendent Gr. III, Superannuated from the services of CMTI in September 2015, after 34 years of service from Central Planning & Co-ordination (CPC) Department. He has served in various departments in different capacities.

Shri Subramani V, Multitask Attendent – Gr. III, Superannuated from the services of CMTI in September 2015, after 34 years of service from Purchase & Stores Department.

SUPERANNUATION

Lifestyle Management Programme at CMTI:

A ‘Lifestyle Management Programme’ on cancer care for advanced, complicated and recurrent cancers was arranged on 4th September 2015 for employees in association with M/s. Health Care Global Enterprises (HCG) Ltd, Bangalore.

Dr. Anil Kumar, MBBS, MD (Medicine) PGIMER, DM(Medical Oncology), Assistant Professor, Dept. of Medical Oncology, MS Ramaiah Medical College, Consultant, HCG-MSR Cancer Center, Bangalore, gave presentation on the theme “Prevention is better than cure” and created awareness on various types of Cancers such as Breast, Cervix, Ovary and Endometrium (Colon and Prostate) and the medical aids - Screening principles available for the early detection of such types of Cancer.
