How to Use

• When you get to a “blank” in the story, fill in (by either writing, showing a picture, and/or just telling your child) what your family is doing.

• You can either print the pages out, or show them to the student on a computer, phone, or tablet. My students seem to enjoy viewing it on a computer, phone, or tablet, but do whatever works best for your students/children.

What to Expect on Summer Break

Soon, my school will have summer break.

During summer break, my school will be closed. Most kids do not go to

school during the summer.

SCHOOL

I will go back to school after summer break is over.

Summer break usually lasts for a few months. For most kids, summer break will be during

June, July, and some or all of August.

July

During summer break, I might do different things.

I might stay at home with my family.

I might visit some relatives.

My family might go on a vacation to a different place.

On summer break, my family will ______________________________________________________________.

After summer break is over, I will go back to school.

SCHOOL

I will go back to school on______________________________________________________________.

When I go back to school, I might have a new teacher or some new kids in my

class.

My teacher and family will all work together to make the new school year
