Whether you're a regular visitor or simply making a one-off trip, an Oystercard is the best way to get around London's public transport network. It canbe used on the Tube, trams, buses, DLR, London Overground and someNational Rail servicesin London.
you need to touch your card on the yellow reader to get through the Tubegates or board other services.
An Oyster card is the fastest, smartest and easiest way to pay for single
journeys on the Bus, Tube, DLR, Tram, London Over ground andparticipatingNational Rail Services.
Faster: Oyster saves you time ² no more queuing for tickets as you can payin advance.Easier: Your Oyster card is reusable ² just top it up with cash or renew your
Travel card/Bus Pass when needed.Cheaper: Oyster single fares are always cheaper than cash
How do I use my Oyster Card?To pay the correct fare you must always touch your card on the yellow
reader. For tube, DLR and London Over ground Journeys or National RailServices, where pay as you go is valid, always touch in at the start and endof your journey otherwise you will pay a maximum cash fare. London skyline design.

You can also use the touch screen ticket machines locatedin Tube stations. This means that there are over 3000 places where you can add value whilst inLondon.
If my card fails, what should I do?You will need to get your failed card replaced at a Tube station ticket office in London.
Can more that one person traveling together use the same Oyster card to pay as you go?No, only one person can use the Oyster card at any one time.

the yellow reader on the touch-screen ticket machines Located in most Tubestations. You can also get a printout of yourbalance, and most recent journeys, from Tube station ticket offices. The ticket gates display both the cost of the journey just completed and theremaining balance when you touch your Oyster card on the yellow reader asyou exit a station.
Is there a time limit for using Oyster to pay as you go?No, if you use Oyster to pay as you go, it does not have an expiry date. It will sit on your card untilyou are ready to use it again. However, if you do not use the card for two years or more the cardwill stop working. St Paul's Cathedral is the Anglican cathedral on Ludgate Hill, in the City of London, andthe seat of the Bishop of London. The cathedral is one of London's most visited sites.
The cathedral is built of Portland stone in a late Renaissance style that is England's soberBaroque. Its impressive dome was inspired by St Peter's Basilica in Rome. It rises 365 feet(108 m) to the cross at its summit, making it a famous London landmark. Wren achieved apleasing appearance by building three domes: the tall outer dome is non-structural but
impressive to view, the lower inner dome provides an artistically balanced interior, andbetweenthe two is a structural cone that supports the apex structure and the outer dome.
The nave has three small chapels in the two adjoining aisles ² All Souls and St Dunstan's inthe north aisle and the Chapel of the Order of St Michael and St George in the south aisle. Themain space of the cathedral is centered under the Dome; it rises 108.4 metres from thecathedral floor and holds three circular galleries ² the internal Whispering Gallery, theexternal Stone Gallery, and the external Golden Gallery.
Memorials: The cathedral has a very substantial crypt, holding over 200 memorials, andserves as both the Order of the British Empire Chapel and the Treasury. The cathedral hasvery few treasures: many have been lost, and in 1810 a major robbery took almost all of theremaining precious artefacts.
The Royal Family holds most of their important marriages, christenings and funerals atWestminster Abbey, but St Paul's was used for the marriage of Charles, Prince of Walesand Lady Diana Spencer. The religious service for Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee was
also celebrated there.
