Thank you for joining us for an exciting adventure! Your mission is to have the best time of summer! We are looking forward to partnering with you as you lead Virtual VBS in your home. Our hope is that this kit will help you guide your family through an exciting, fun-filled week. Your family will learn to Keep Looking to Jesus. This box provides everything you need for an amazing time. What’S Included in the virtual vbs box? The supplies in this VBS Box are divided out by day and activity. Open each day’s bag only when you’re ready to begin that day’s lesson and activities. This helps build excitement and prevents lost supplies. Your Operation Manual contains a detailed instruction packet/snapshot for each day. It also outlines a few supplies you’ll need to gather from home (things like tape, toys, balls, coloring supplies, glue, etc.) along with a list of supplies already included in your box. WHAT ARE THE COMPONENTS OF Virtual VBS? OPENING SESSION: a 20-30 minute video that includes worship songs, skits, Bible stories, and more! This will be available on the KidsPoint website. Craft: Following Opening Session, watch a short instructional video on how to make the daily craft using the supplies in your craft bag. More instructions available in your daily snapshot. Game: Watch a short video on how to play the game, then using supplies you have around your home and provided in your box, have fun and play the game! More instructions available in your daily snapshot. Serving Others: In focusing on Jesus, we find that we can love and serve others. Serving Others is an opportunity for your family to love and serve others. We will learn about serving others around us. Watch a short video on how to complete each activity. More instructions available in your daily snapshot. Snack: Using the parent guide instructions and supplies you have at home, make a fun snack to enjoy! Family Devo Time: A time set aside for your family to read the Bible and discuss the story together. More instructions available in your daily snapshot. CLOSING SESSION: Watch a 15 minute video closing out your day. YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS video because it prepares you for the next day’s mission! What does a day of Virtual VBS look like? Great question! In short, that’s completely up to you! The daily activities will take about 1 1/2 - 2 hours to complete. We suggest you begin with the Large Group video and then follow that with the activity instructional videos. You can do them all at once, spread them throughout the day…whatever works best for your family! The videos will be available On-Demand. You’re not alone! This year looks very different than what we’re all used to when it comes to VBS, but don’t worry, we’re in it together! Invite friends to join you. Do the activities in your backyard, at the park, in your house, wherever! We can’t gather everyone together at church but we highly encourage you to gather in small groups to complete the daily missions. This week isn’t purely for your child, it’s for you too! Not only does God want to help your child to understand how to take a closer look at who He is; He also wants you to see Him, too, because He loves you, and wants you to grow closer to Him. How Do I Get In Touch With You? Our Team is here for you! If you find that you’re missing supplies, have difficulty streaming the daily videos, need advice about a specific activity, or just want to say hi, reach out! We love partnering with you!
