INTRODUCTIONThe evolution of communities, web interactions and data-rich environments are providing organizations with a faster way to innovate create and promote personalized solutions. For many organizations and business to succeed they depend on their ability to recognize, reach and link to the virtual you. The proliferation and access to data is “virtually everywhere” and zonated resources are proving invaluable to science, technology and life.

Services can be leveraged with the use of existing infrastructure created around the internet which provides us with very low cost access to information in real-time. Analytical tools are being created to rapidly zonated data. Decision engines are quickly driving knowledge engines in order to create learning systems.

The change with you and the rest of the world is just the beginning. By releasing information about yourself and your environments through mobile phones, tablets and many other digital platforms; people are acting as virtual data collectors, and their groups as virtual human networks.

Simple solutions are a starting point. Our ability to rapidly move across networks with Personal Information Management tools, whether “mobile or tethered” will pave a way to be truly virtual and in control.

The information will continue to be compiled, enhanced, and aggregated with real-time sources based on two aspects. The quantitative data collected via sensors allows changing conditions of an individual or a community to be monitored. The qualitative data of network interactions survey natural or urban environments, and provide a related context to the information. These individual data points, when collectively placed in context will provide insight into a variety of situations. In science these new environment will provide a plethora of new discovery channels.

Some are putting this technology to use to instantly map geography, layer in information from other data streams and

create context and narrative where none previously existed. This is being done both on small and large scales. Indicators from social media can serve as individual, group’s measures as well as provide insights that are relevant and point to actions that can be taken to remedy problems as they arise.

However; trusted layers must continue be enhanced in order to impede unwanted roadblocks or derail governments newfound ability to enable networked communities to handle situations on larger scales.

This initial discussion is being generated with the sole purpose to enhance individual awareness of the virtual world that is approaching us. Our intent is to be open and share experiences throughout the world, with the many formal and informal communities. Our continuing discussions will explore the many aspects around the virtual human.

In order to assemble these tools, opportunities and discoveries into powerful solutions, we believe that it is important to enhance and promote what we voice in this introduction, the use of a cost-effective current social network approach to leverage the reach and convening power of the internet in a new way.

We also hope to exchange opportunities, explore new possibilities or discoveries that exist for many organizations, businesses or academic institutions. The initial examples are representations on what is possible today, and explore the different avenues of tomorrow. Scientist and many others are fond of running the evolutionary clock backwards, DNA has been a major player in that analysis and continues to grow. However our clock and our evolution is also moving us forward, where are the humans headed? How virtual? How Real?
