In this lick, you can see how Vinai adjusts his note choice to fit the changing chords. He starts by building around an Emaj7 arpeggio (E G# B D#) but then switches quickly to a little E/C# double-stop over the A chord. He then builds a C#m9 arpeggio over the C#m.
