Preface

This volume contains the papers that were presented at the 3rd Internationalconference on Computer and Communication Technologies (IC3T 2016) held inDepartment of Computer Science & Engineering, Devineni Venkata Ramana &Dr. Hima Sekhar MIC College of Technology, Vijayawada, during November 5–6,2016. IC3T 2016 aims to provide a forum for exchanges of research results andideas, and experience of applications among researchers and practitioners involvedwith all aspects of computing and communication technologies. Previous editionsof the conference were held in CMR Group of Colleges, Hyderabad, under theguidance of their management and Dr. Srujan Raju. The IC3T 2016 received total398 submissions. Each of which was peer-reviewed by at least two members of theProgram Committee. Finally, a total of 63 papers were accepted for publication inthis proceeding. The IC3T 2016 was technically supported by Div-V of ComputerSociety of India. Several special sessions were offered by eminent professors inmany cutting-edge technologies. A pre-conference workshop on multi-disciplinaryresearch challenges and trends in computer science was the highlight of this meet.Topics on sensor networks, wireless communications, big data, and swarm opti-mization were discussed at length for the benefits of the participants, and guidanceto research direction was provided. An excellent author workshop on “How to writefor and get published in Scientific Journal” was conducted by Mr. Aninda Bose,Senior Publishing Editor, Springer India Pvt. Ltd, Delhi, India.

About the EditorsDr. Suresh Chandra Satapathy is currently working as a professor and head of the Departmentof Computer Science and Engineering, PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh,India. He received his Ph.D. in computer science and engineering from Jawaharlal NehruTechnological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, and his Master’s degree in computer science andengineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, Odisha. He has more than27 years of teaching and research experience. His research interests include machine learning, datamining, swarm intelligence studies, and their applications to engineering. He has more than 98publications to his credit in various reputed international journals and conference proceedings. Hehas edited many volumes from Springer AISC and LNCS in the past. In addition to serving on theeditorial board of several international journals, he is a senior member of the IEEE and a lifemember of the Computer Society of India, where he is the national chairman of Division-V(Education and Research).

Prof. Vikrant Bhateja is an associate professor at the Department of Electronics andCommunication Engineering, Shri Ramswaroop Memorial Group of Professional Colleges(SRMGPC), Lucknow, and also the head of Academics & Quality Control at the same college. Hisresearch interests include digital image and video processing, computer vision, medical imaging,machine learning, pattern analysis and recognition, neural networks, soft computing, andbio-inspired computing techniques. He has more than 90 quality publications in various interna-tional journals and conference proceedings to his credit. Professor Vikrant has been on TPC andchaired various sessions from the above domain in international conferences of IEEE and Springer.He has been the track chair and served on the core-technical/editorial teams for numerous inter-national conferences: FICTA 2014, CSI 2014, and INDIA 2015 under the Springer-ASIC Seriesand INDIACom-2015, ICACCI-2015 under the IEEE. He is an associate editor for theInternational Journal of Convergence Computing (IJConvC) and also serves on the editorial boardof the International Journal of Image Mining (IJIM) under Inderscience Publishers. At present, heis the guest editor for two special issues of the International Journal of Rough Sets and DataAnalysis (IJRSDA) and the International Journal of System Dynamics Applications (IJSDA) underIGI Global publications.

Dr. K. Srujan Raju is a professor and head of the Department of Computer Science andEngineering (CSE), CMR Technical Campus. Professor Srujan earned his Ph.D. in the field ofnetwork security and his current research interests include computer networks, informationsecurity, data mining, image processing, intrusion detection, and cognitive radio networks. He haspublished several papers in referred international conferences and peer-reviewed journals. He was

also on the editorial board of CSI 2014 Springer AISC series 337 and 338 volumes. In addition, heserved as a reviewer for many indexed journals. Professor Raju has been honored with theSignificant Contributor Award and Active Member Award by the Computer Society of India(CSI) and is currently the Hon. Secretary of the CSI’s Hyderabad Chapter.

Dr. B. Janakiramaiah is currently working as a professor in the Department of ComputerScience and Engineering, Devineni Venkata Ramana & Dr. Hima Sekhar MIC College ofTechnology (DVR & Dr. HS MIC College of Technology), Kanchikacherla, Vijayawada, AndhraPradesh, India. He received his Ph.D. in computer science and engineering from the JawaharlalNehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, and Master’s degree in computer scienceand engineering from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada. He hasmore than 15 years of teaching experience. His research interests include data mining, machinelearning, studies, and their applications to engineering.
