Student Support Centre

• is a network of specialists supporting a child in need;

• assists and advises teachers to help children with special needs;

• is a counselling centre available for students’ parents;

• is the place where sorrow is made less;

• is engaged in prevention work;

• provides schooling-seminars for parents;

• organises extra-curriculum activities.

Changes in the community

• immigrants – alienation

• ambitious parents – high expectations both to their child(ren) and school

• rapid increase of the number of students – instability

• controversal expectations – political (elite school), the parents of children with

special needs (national curriculum for students with moderate and severe
