School Citizenship written by P6/7

Primary 1 (School Garden) P1 have been helping the nursery tidy and plant new bulbs in the school garden. The school garden is at the bottom of the little ones play area. In the spring I hope the flower beds are filled with colourful flowers.

Primary 1/2 (Litter) - The primary 1/2 class have been doing a litter pick up as part of their citizenship they have been going out twice a week on Tuesdays with Mrs Martin and Thursdays with Miss Ward they have made posters to make sure people put litter in the bin. Next term they are hoping to do a litter pick up in the local area.

Primary 2 (Avoch Beach) - Primary 2 have recently had their sharing assembly and litter picking at Avoch beach. They have also been learning about the sea life at Avoch beach two. Next term they will be going to Fortrose beach for yet another litter pick session.

Primary 3 (Stop Litter) - P3 said that they will be making posters to stop people from dropping litter on the ground. They went round all the classes collecting their recycling bins and emptying them .They also want to try go round the classes to tell them to not waste scrap paper because it can be useful.

Primary 4 (Woodland Trail) - The primary 4 class are adopting a dolphin and making bird boxes and putting them in the woodland trail and there are also making a hedgehog box for the woodland trail.

Primary 4/5 (Snag) - P4/5 citizenship is snag. For snag they have been doing fruity Friday and advent calendar. It has been going pretty well the last term.

Primary 5 (Archie Foundation) - P5 citizenship is Archie Foundation. They did guess the teddys birthday and anagram sheets. Next term they are planning a coffee morning.

Primary 6 (Fairtrade) - P6 Citizenship is Fairtrade. Their favourite part was organising the senior citizens tea and making the cookie recipe for the Christmas fair. They only used Fairtrade products when they were baking it.

Primary 7 (JRSO) - The P7 class this term are doing JRSO meaning Junior Road Safety Officers. They have not done as much on JRSO as they thought they might have and they hope to do more for their citizenship. They have given out yellow jackets to the pupils that walk to Avoch Primary so that they are noticed on the road so cars can notice them on the road. Next term they are not going to be doing JRSO, as they will have other things planned and it will be a busy term for all of the school. Lastly the P7 class think that their citizenship is very fun and wish to do more on JRSO.
