In order to be nominated for either president or vice-president, you must obtain 150 valid faculty and student signatures from the Lawrence Community. (Note: staff members are not eligible to vote in LUCC elections.) The completed petition is due by 11:59pm Thursday, January 12th. Nomination petitions should be turned into the LUCC Drop Box on the 4th floor of the Warch Campus Center. You will not be placed on the ballot until we have received your petition. Prepare a maximum 200 word candidate statement and a photo (preferably a headshot) and email it to

lucc@lawrence.edu .

Certification of Eligibility for Office

The LUCC Constitution requires that all candidates for election to the position of president or vice president “must be in good academic standing and plan to be on campus during all terms of office. A petition of signatures from one hundred and fifty voters will place a qualified candidate on the ballot.” (LUCC Constitution, Article Three, Section 2.) Qualified voters includes students who are degree candidates registered for Lawrence credit during the term in which the election will take place, and members of the faculty as defined in the by-laws of Lawrence University.

In placing my signature below, I declare my intent to run for the office indicated above, and furthermore certify that to the best of my knowledge, I am in good academic standing, that I am a degree seeking candidate enrolled for Lawrence University credit, and that I shall be on campus all three terms of my office should I be elected, Term III 2017 – Term II 2018.
