Video Games on the Minds of Youths
• As our society slowly advances into the digital age, our forms of entertainment has also turned digital, turning real-life adventures into computer simulations.
• It damages our minds and our bodies, and yet, we never gain anything more than a few hours of fun. So we have to ask ourselves, how can such a thing be beneficial?
• Our doctors recommend us to spend less time on our computers and more time outside exercising.
• This is because sitting in front of a computer all day, deprives us of much needed exercise to burn the food we consume.
• Thus, we get fat.
• We should consider the psychological effects it has on a child. He or she, is just sitting there, shooting at imaginary enemies simulated by the video game.
• Now imagine the effects this may have on a child’s mind.
• The child may actually react the same way in real-life situation, and unlike the video games, life is final.
• So, they would act as if they were a video game, and often impulsively.
• However, some may still say that video games can be helpful, citing various softwares that help a child learn, from alphabet games, to virtual crosswords.
• But why would we use these pieces of simulated reality, when we could actually just do it for ourselves!
• We could actually learn how to fight, instead of jabbing buttons on a screen, learn how to cook instead of watching animated sequences of “cooking”.
• As for shooting games…there's always the age limit for mature players!

Video Game Real Life
• Don’t get me wrong, technology is always advancing, and we have to advance with it. But that doesn’t mean we have to throw away our good old ways…
• We still can, experience the thrills of having fun outside, instead of jabbing buttons in front of a large, animated screen.
• So think about it next time, after an hour of video games, go outside, play football, or something, and have fun.
• Though technology has benefited us greatly, we must not allow ourselves to be absorbed by it.
• So, we should thus, go for a walk, after a long day of being exposed to technology. And enjoy the view and joy of it.
