QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE FOR THE TEACHING STAFF :-

A) ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION :

a) A degree in Ayurved from a University established by law or a statutory Board / Faculty/ ExaminingBody of Indian Medicine or its equivalent as recognized under Indian Medicine Central Council Act1970.

b) A postgraduate qualification in the subject / speciality concerned included in the schedule to IndianMedicine Central Council Act 1970.i ) A post graduate qualification is relaxed to the teachers who had been appointed in Ayurved

Colleges on or before 01/07/1989 and are in the continuous service since then.

ii ) If the Post-graduate qualification holders in the concerned subjects are not available, the post-graduate qualification obtained in the subject as mentioned in IMCC (amendment) regulations,1989 against that subject, shall be admissible.

c) Adequate knowledge of Sanskrit.

d) For the post of lecturer in Sanskrit, P. G. qualification in Sanskrit subject.

B) ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE :

a) FOR THE POST OF PROFESSOR : The total teaching experience of ten years in the subject isnecessary out of which there should be five years teaching experience as a Reader / Asst.Professor or ten years experience as a lecturer in the concern subject wherever the post of Reader / Asst. Professor does not exists.

b) FOR THE POST OF READER : The total teaching experience of five years in the subject isnecessary out of which there should be three years teaching experience as a Lecturer in thesubject concerned.

c) FOR THE POST OF LECTURER : No teaching experience is required.

d) PRINCIPAL : The qualification and experience prescribed for the post of Professor should beconsidered essential for the post of Principal.

e) DESIRABLE : Original published paper / Books on the subject.

NOTES :

1) Pay Scale, ladies reservation and reservation for Physically handicapped is as per the rules.

2) Candidate applying for reservation category should submit cast certificate, cast verification certificateand non-creamy layer certificate as applicable.

3) Reserve category candidates who are not ordinarily residing in Maharashtra will be treated as a opencategory candidate.

4) Candidates holding essential qualification on closing date of application will be eligible to apply andexperience will be considered upto earlier date of interview.

5) Application must reach to the college on or before 25 / 08 / 2010. ( Minimum 21 days from the dateof publication of advertisement in newspaper. Exact date is to be specified. )

6) Qualified teachers between the age of 60 to 65 years will be considered for one year, in case of qualified candidate below the age of 60 years is not available.

7) The decision taken by MUHS authorities regarding essential qualification and experience from timeto time shall be applicable.
