Paul’s instructions for overcoming worry is found in Philippians 4:4-9“Don’t worry about anything.

Rejoice in the Lord always.”

1. Principle of Rejoicing“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it

again, rejoice!” – Philippians 4:4

we need an attitude of joy, even when we face trials

2. Principle of God’s Presence “The Lord is near.” – Philippians 4:6

God is never far away, He is always ready to help us

just humbly bring our requests to him.

because we belong to Jesus, because he has bought us with his blood on the cross, and we have trusted him as our Lord and Savior.

Matthew 6:31-3431So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Consider the results when we choose not to worry, but instead turn our anxieties over to God in prayer.

Proverbs 17:22 says, “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a

crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

Paul says that “God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand”
