because they decide what products they are going to sell and carry in their stores

Wal-Mart has control over their employees due to the fact there is no union.

Wal-Mart even has control over other countries who are making the products. When they lower prices here, they lower working wages somewhere else.

How to deal with McDonaldization in Walmart

Walmart should work accordingly to a set of rules and standards that they devise themselves. This would back away from a McDonald’s type of system.

Rational or Irrational? That is the question.Walmart is irrational and rational.

Self-checkout and hypermarket system are examples how Walmart is irrational.

Although, Walmart is rational because they match prices, have a common goal of a prosperous business, and are dependable to customers.
