With this exercise, we tried to copy Victor Schrager’s “White Room” series. Schrager described this as a juxtaposition to old hardback books. This is shown through bright colours with soft edges. The background bleached out and the arrangement giving us a sense of depth of field.

We set these books up to capture the depth of field that Victor Schrager used in his ‘White Room’ series. Against a white background so we could bleach it out.

EditedWe used a white background and increased the contrast to bleach out the background. Increasing saturation to make the colours brighter and also layering the photos to create a soft edge.
