     INTRODUCTION

In August 2015, Bhagawan graciously blessed the UK with His second

visit. Bhagawan, with His entourage of seven, arrived on Friday, 28th

August and stayed in Chigwell, Essex for the duration of the 5-day

     visit.

On Saturday, 29th August, 2015, the first public gathering for an Educare

Conference took place at Rutlish School for Boys in Wimbledon, South

London. Aside from talks by His entourage and an inspiring divine

discourse, the Balvikas  children performed a drama entitled ‘The Ancient

    Way of Dharmic  Living’.

On Sunday, 30th August, 2015, a youth  satsang took place. The programme

consisted of talks by Bhagawan’s entourage, sharing by two UK youth,

Bhagawan’s eagerly awaited divine discourse, followed by a question and

    answer session.

The final public event took place on Monday, 31st August, 2015 in Chigwell,

Essex. A marquee was set up at the residence of Dr. Grish Malhotra. The

evening’s program began with a soulful rendering of some songs by Sister

Sonja Venturi from Italy and others. Inspirational talks by Bhagawan’s

entourage preceded the divine discourse. In His discourse, Bhagawan

announced that a devotee had offered her property in the UK to Bhagawan, for

use as an ashram. Bhagawan blessed the lady, accepted her offering of love and

declared that He would open the ashram within one year.

This booklet, prepared at His command, includes full transcriptions of

Bhagawan’s three divine discourses, the question and answer sessions and

excerpts from the talks of His chosen devotees who addressed each gathering.

    EDUCARE CONFERENCE

    29 AUGUST, 2015:

     MR. ISAAC TIGRETT

    Nowadays, neighbours and people in

organisations don’t  get along because they’re

selfish and self-involved. We must go beyond

what we want from Swami, and ask ourselves what

we can do for Him. For over 85 years, the whole

world was invited to Puttaparthi; anyone could

come for darshan, twice a day. Now, Swami says,

“I am behind the curtain; only the invited will be

able to experience this. The price of admission is

    a pure heart.”

We are all on our personal journey to the same destination, but it’s an individual

journey. I love Swami’s quote, “Do not follow, as I may not lead; do not lead, as

I may not follow; just walk beside Me and be My friend.” Sai Baba is not only

your best friend, He’s your only friend.

This is a very precious time and He needs us. Wonderful, amazing things arehappening –  ashrams and hospitals being built; people are bringing land and

resources. It’s  a wonderful, fantastic journey, and you all have been invited

here. You will all be transformed in a most amazing way from the time He

begins to speak and you will recognise instantly His incredible signature.

    SRI B. N. NARASIMHA MURTHY

There is nothing consistent with the human mind,

except its tendency to drift towards evil. That is whatDuryodhana told Krishna when He went to avert the

great Mahabharata war. Duryodhana said, “I know

what is right, but I have not will-power to practice it.

I know what is wrong, but I lack will-power to keep

from doing wrong.” Baba says, “True will-power to

control your mind and senses comes only when you

experience the divine bliss within your heart.”

St. Augustine said, “The  shield against all nails is spiritual  joy.” This is what

Jesus taught and how He lived. In His 40 days with temptation, He feasted His

soul on the spiritual joy of communion with God. That is the only way to get the

will-power to always be good, think good, feel good, speak good and do good.

If the youth and the children are drifting away, the reason is

the kind of education we are providing. That is why

Bhagawan Baba has given us the most wonderful philosophy

of education, not only for India, but for the entire world: Sri

Sathya Sai philosophy of integral education synthesises

physical, intellectual, emotional and, most importantly,

    spiritual education.

The Bible for education written by Bhagawan Baba Himself is the book,

‘Vidya  Vahini’. In it, He has said, “Complete education has two aspects:

worldly knowledge and skills, which help people to eke out their

livelihoods; and the ultimate goal of life, or God-realisation. Unless both

material and spiritual education are taught, not only the educational

sphere, but the future of mankind is doomed.

    SRI C. SREENIVAS

These are the most motivating, inspirational, exciting,

and challenging times of our lives. We have been born

because we are the most privileged and blessed.

Remember always, before pleasure, life is a privilege.

For every breath we take, millions are gasping for

breath. For every glass of water we drink, more thanhalf the planet is dying without water. For each

freedom we have, a million children are caged, not

just by physical walls, but social custom and religious

    dogma.

We are destined to write human history in a manner that generations to come

will remember with great salutation, respect, and reverence, and we are finally

so blessed because our lives are going to be lived as instruments in His hands.

This is no small act; this is an immeasurable act of grace.

Most of life is a choice we make of a career. We have to be extremely intelligent

today in the world; but remember, as much as careers are important, ours is

the only generation, which, along with a career, has a calling. Answer a calling

    - you’ll make a million careers. The calling is to rise above ourselves. When I

see young children and their parents at the hospital, they come out with

fantastic responses to acts of goodness, grace, benevolence, and mercy. The

power of human goodness that can come out in a human heart is magical.

So remember, we are privileged. We are going to write human history today

onwards. We are going to make our parents proud of us. We are going to makethis generation proud, because we have been hand-picked by dear Swami.

    EDUCARE CONFERENCE

    29 AUGUST, 2015

     DIVINE DISCOURSE

Where there is faith, there is love. Where there is love, there is truth.

Where there is truth, there is peace. Where there is peace, there is

bliss. Where there is bliss, there is God.

Embodiments of Divine Love! This vast universe

is sustained and run only on one principle: love.

Narasimha Murthy said children should betaught both Para and Apara Vidya, that is, worldly

education and spiritual education. The truth is,

neither religion nor God needs to be brought

into the classroom. If you bring love into

classroom, that itself will lead to God. As the

message says, start with love and end with God.

Therefore, if you just live our lives on this one

principle of love, sooner or later you will attain

God.Every person is born with the power to love. First, love is for one’s own self.

Then, man loves those who care for him, who love him, who are related to him

     –  that is, family and friends. Then, he is capable of loving the land where he is

born. He’s proud of it, and he wants to look after it. He considers the people of

his land as his brothers and sisters. He then becomes capable of loving the

whole universe as nothing but the reflection of his own Self.

Whether a small child, which loves its mother because she looks after it, or a

great, evolved sage who loves the entire creation as his own self, the quantity

of love may grow, but the quality remains the same. Love remains the

underlying principle which sustains the entire universe. Love is complete by

itself. Nobody can add to love or remove from love. Love remains love. It

neither decreases nor increases. That love alone is true love. Everything else,

though considered as love, is not really true love. It is a form of affection arising

out of attachment. It is contaminated with expectations; whereas true, divine

love, does not know giving and receiving. It does not decrease, diminish or

expand. It always remains complete by itself. Nobody can take your love away

from you, nobody can add to your love. This love remains complete and equal

for one and all, and is not bound by place, circumstances or time. Such love is

what I aspire children in our schools and schools elsewhere should be taught.

Once children have learnt to love anybody and everybody

without any expectations, then they truly will know God

    someday.

Many are wondering whether small children can understand thephilosophy I am speaking about. The truth is, children alone can

understand all this. Elders cannot. Children are like blank sheets of

paper. Anything written on a blank sheet can be read; whereas the

minds of the elders are so full of ‘I’ and ‘mine’, that there is no place

left for Me to write anything anymore! Only if you empty yourself of all

that which is selfish in you, can you become like children again and

be worthy to receive this message of Bhagawan.

For the sake of children, here is a small story. There was a child, to whom

his mother told, “Do not ever think that you are alone. Wherever you go,believe that Lord Krishna –  the Avatar of God Himself  –  is always with you.

Never be afraid, for He is always there to protect you, whether you can see

Him or not.” The child immediately believed what his mother said.

Belief and faith are natural to children. How else does a child know that its

mother is indeed his mother? A doctor’s certificate is not a proof that makes

the child believe. Belief comes naturally to children.

This child had to cross a dense forest to go to the school. So, in the morning,

when he began walking towards the school, he  wasn’t afraid of anything. Hefinished school and was returning home. On the way back, it started becoming

dark. The forest was dense and dark, and the child started feeling lonely and

afraid. He started thinking of the words of his mother. Mother had said, “Never

be afraid, because God is always with you. Krishna is always with you and He

will walk with you and bring you back home. Do not be afraid.” So, he closed

his eyes and called upon Lord Krishna, saying, “Oh Lord, please help me. I’m

afraid, but my mother says You are always with me. Show me Yourself and take

me across this forest.” Lord Krishna appeared as a young lad and held the hand

of this boy; and both of them walked together, through the forest, talking aboutmany leelas  of the Lord, and chatting together. Ultimately, Krishna came all the

way until the doorstep of his house, dropped him there, and disappeared,

promising him that if ever the boy needed His help He would be available.

The child entered the house and told his mother the story. The mother was very

happy to know that such a thing had happened. She did not doubt the child, for

she knew, where there is faith, God will be present.

The next day, the father had to go to the next town on some business. It would

have been late in the night by the time he could return. So, while conversing

with his wife, he said, “This forest is full of wild beasts. If it becomes late, I am

not sure whether I will reach home or not; it is very dangerous. So, I will try and

come as early as I can. Pray for me.”

    8

The wife said, “Do not worry. Krishna is always with you. If

you pray to Krishna, He will definitely help you cross the

     jungle and come back.”

The father said, “Oh! Krishna is only an idol inside the temple. Hepassed away long ago. I do not believe that He can come and walk with

me. Do not tell me these stories.”

The mother said, “No,  just the other day when our boy had to return,

Krishna walked with him and brought him home safely.”

The father, whose mind was full of dry logic, did not understand the words

of his wife. He went to the other town and, while returning, true to his

fears, it became dark. Once he entered the forest, he was afraid there

could be wild animals or thieves who may rob him. He did not know what

to do. For once, he closed his eyes and thought, “If  my wife’s words are

true, let me pray to Krishna and see if He really appears.”

He closed his eyes and prayed, “Oh Krishna! If You are really there, please

come and be with me and help me cross this forest.”

He heard a voice, “Yes, I am right behind you, but if you turn around, I will

    disappear.”

The father heard the voice, but he doubted whether it was truly

Krishna or somebody else. So, as he kept walking, he kept on

asking, “Are You there, Krishna? Are You there?” He would hear

a reply, “Yes, I am behind you. Keep on walking. Don’t  turn

back.” After some time, when he was in the middle of the dense

forest, he thought, “Maybe it is not Krishna. Maybe it is a thief

who wants me to come right to the middle of the forest, away

from people, so that he can rob me peacefully and take away all

my money!” Doubting as his mind was, he turned around to see

if Krishna was there. Until then, he could clearly hear the sound

of Krishna’s  anklets and he knew He was coming behind him.

However, when he turned around, Krishna was nowhere to be

    seen.

Suddenly, he was overcome with fear and ran for his life, dropping all the bags

of money behind. He reached home and said to his wife, “See! You said Krishna

would be with me, but He was not there when I turned around! This is not

correct! You lied to me!” The wife replied, “That’s not true. Just the other day,

our son saw Krishna and they walked hand-in-hand all the way home.”

The husband said, “I also heard a voice, but I don’t think it was Krishna.” Then

the wife asked, “What did Krishna tell you?” He said, “He said not to turn aroundand see if it was Him. If I were to see Him, He would disappear.”  And the

    husband had precisely done that.

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015-08-UK-English

    10/40

    9

Then the husband asked wife, “Do you really think Krishna

was with me? You pray to Krishna; can you not get an answer

    from Him?”

So, she prayed to Krishna, “My  husband doubts whether You werethere with him or not. Can You clarify this doubt, Oh Lord?”

Krishna said, “Yes, I told him that I would always be coming behind him,

and for him not turn around and doubt Me. When he turned around, I

again went behind him, so that he could not see Me. But I was always there

with him. It is his doubt that made him feel that I wasn’t there, and he has

unnecessarily lost his wealth without actually being robbed.”

I am telling you this story because children’s hearts are pure. They do not

have so much of mind. Whatever they are told, they believe. If you tell them

God exists, they will believe. If you tell them God is their true friend, they will

believe. If you tell God loves them most, they will believe. It is the

responsibility of the elders to teach love for God to the youngsters. However,

because the elders themselves do not have love for God, there is no way they

    can teach the children.

Therefore, this Education Conference should not be for the children, it should

be for parents and teachers first. They are the ones who need to be set right. If

they are right, the children will automatically become right. There are no bad

children according to Me; there are only bad teachers and parents. If they don’t do their duty properly, the result will be shown on children’s lives.

In order to ensure that we have good teachers, not merely who are very

professional and skilful in their teaching, but also have love for God and love

for each other –  those who have this sense of sacrifice and service –  I am starting

a programme called ‘Guru Vikas’,  that is, development of the real Guru. Not

just a teacher of subjects, but one who can teach both worldly subjects as well

    as about love and service.

Soon, many people from around the world will come together to ensure that

such a programme is taken up in all the countries of the world, where teachers

will be given training in order to transform them first and, through them, the

    children all around the world.

Long ago we had, and still have Bal Vikas, that is, training for the children. The

truth is, in those days, there were many teachers. People were proud to become

good teachers. Today, if you ask someone, “What are you doing?” and if they

reply, “I am a teacher”, the first impression is, “Oh, he must not have got any

other job elsewhere; that is why he has become a teacher.”  Not many

appreciate the good fortune that comes to a teacher. We were in Dubai recently, and Dubai must have lots of engineers, because

there are so many buildings and they go on building more.

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015-08-UK-English

    11/40

    10

However, when I asked, “Are  there enough school-

teachers?”  they said they don’t  enough. They have more

engineers and doctors. They’re filling up every inch of their

land with more structures, but the people who will reside in

them, if they are not the right kind of people,  what’s the use

    of building such tall buildings?

A nation is not about buildings, roads, lands, rivers, mountains and

oceans. It’s about its people. If you really want to have a nation that is

good, first and foremost you must bring up the children in a good way.

Children bereft of selfishness and self-interest alone can create a great

and good nation; a nation that becomes an ideal for all others.

Last year, I said that we must have a programme and get together many elders

and children. I had one ‘Doubting  Thomas’  in London. I have many in each

country, but the ‘London Doubting Thomas’ thought, “How is it possible to have

such a programme? It’s very difficult to gather so many children and elders.” Itold him, “You go ahead with the programme and My devotees and My children

will come. All those whom I call will come. Bees need not be invited; where

there is a fragrant flower full of nectar, they will automatically come. Only those

bees whose noses are blocked because of cold and cough may not be able to

smell the nectar and may stay away. The fault is not with the flower.”

Under My divine will, and with the efforts of the people here, we all have

gathered here today. What seems to be extraordinary to you, is natural for Me.

Therefore, it is not something out of this world or something that nobody can

understand. Let people not have such doubts. It is their minds that reflect in

their words. We must not say such things.

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015-08-UK-English

    12/40

    11

Everybody who has a heart will understand. We don’t have

to explain. What can a teacher do for those who come to class

with the only mission not to learn? Only those who are willing

to learn, who come with empty slates, empty minds, and

hearts full of desire to learn, alone can get educated. The

rest, even if they are enrolled in best of schools, will remain

    uneducated for their entire lives.

It is not up to somebody to come and tell you what you should study, how

you should study, where you should study, and when you should study. It

is for you to decide and study; and not only read, but whatever you have

read should be put into practice.

All these devotees all around the world must unite together; not simply to

come and chant My name and sing My glory, because that neither addsanything to Me nor removes anything from Me.

I am beyond praise and blame; it is for your own self that you must come

together and, while you chant the name and sing the glory of Lord on one hand,

the other hand should be engaged in service; service that does not differentiate

between one person and the other, between one country and the other,

between one organisation and the other, between one religion and the other; it

    should have no boundaries.

When you say, “We are all children of God,” you should truly believe that youare. When you say that God is your mother and father, you should truly believe

it. Therefore, wherever you are, whatever you are doing, whichever profession

you are in, there is an opportunity to serve and you must make the best use of

this opportunity and not waste it away.

While you are young, your bodies, minds, and hearts are strong. There is much

opportunity to serve. After a while, your bodies and minds will become weak,

the memories will fade, hands and legs will be shaking, and not many can help

you. My only desire is all the devotees from around the world must unite in love

and not simply decide to come to one place and go to the other. Wherever theyare, they must love all; and that love should translate itself into service.

While Narasimha Murthy and Sreenivas and others are building Educare and

Healthcare institutions elsewhere, even in London, there is enough opportunity

to serve. Hence, whichever country you belong to, wherever you are, find a

way, find an opportunity to serve. That is the only way you can love Me.

    Until yesterday, you were known because of Me. You are Sai Baba’s devotee;

because of the good name and good works of Sai Baba, people respected you.

However, today, when Sai Baba is not seen or heard, the only way people canknow and glorify your Swami is by looking at you. Your behaviour, words, and

actions will speak for Me. The way you conduct yourself will bring glory to Me.

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015-08-UK-English

    13/40

    12

That will bring good name to Swami. Therefore, with your

words, thoughts and deeds in unity, believing, saying what

you believe and doing what you believe, you must all

    continue to serve.

There is no point in cribbing or crying about the problems in the world.

Let one step be taken by each one of you, cross the boundaries of

selfishness and self-interest. Have the courage and confidence to

become Divine and walk towards God. Start with love and reach God.

Eventually, more programmes will be rolled out to prepare good

teachers all around the world. Whichever country you belong to,

whatever classes you teach, you should use the principles of love and

service and give both the worldly, material education for a livelihood, as

well as the education of the soul, for their ultimate redemption. Myblessings are with all the people who are putting whatever effort they can

in order to make this society, this country a better place.

Swami has not gone anywhere. Swami cannot go. Can you separate an object

from its shadow? Only in the darkness of ignorance, are they not seen; but when

there is wisdom, the object and shadow, both are seen. Likewise, God and His

devotees can never be separated. It’s only when the cloud of mind covers the

sun of wisdom that you cannot see the object or the shadow. Once the doubting

mind passes, like the passing clouds, and the brightness of sun is back again,

you can see everything in the clear light.

I am always with you, in you, above you, below you, around you and within you

and there’s no way anyone can separate us. I am with you. You also be with Me

all the time. My blessings in abundance for all the people, devotees of London,

    especially the children.

    YOUTH SATSANG

    30 AUGUST, 2015

     MR. ISAAC TIGRETT

If you have ever been into a Hard Rock, it

    represents American culture and food.

Swami allowed me to go into the world in a

massive way and expose people to His

photograph’s darshan  and to His message,

‘Love All, Serve All’. I am forever grateful to

play a small role in His dynamic mission. You

all have a role to play. You will soon see

    things starting to change dramatically.

When anyone approaches you, take time to be kind. I have been gifted to see

Divinity in everyone. I have since I was a little boy. It gave me the ability, with

the restaurants and the House of Blues, to meet hundreds of people every single

day at work. All of them would want to speak to me. Fame is strange and

wonderful thing. I was in awe when anyone approached me, as it gave me a

great opportunity to see God in them. It is truly a Divine experience.

    SRI C. SREENIVAS

Personality, character are products of cultivation.

You’re able to acquire a personality and develop

a character by cultivating it. If you look at Swami,

His was a life of disciplined duty. Every day, He

spent living for others and serving them, bringing

happiness into people’s  lives. When not givingdarshan, He was discussing service initiatives with

people. He was totally aligned to that goal.

We make life out the way we wish to deal with it. Nothing is nobler than wishing

to serve for the betterment of people. You can make life count when you lose

track of the number of lives you touch. That sums up the essence, the very

purpose of life. That was the life lived and continues to be lived by Swami.

Another thing that inspires me is what He did by going against the tide, but

always in the right way. He went against the tide to provide education, which

He knew is really the panacea of all the ills, both of the world that we live in and

of the timeless truths that come about. He also provided the health that is

required to pursue that education free of cost.

    SRI B. N. NARASIMHA MURTHY

A young man once asked St.

    Francis of Assisi, “Master,  you

are known to walk with God,live with God. How did you find

God?”  St. Francis said, “I  did

not find God. God found me.”

Dear youth  –   young men and

    young women! God has found

you; that is why you are here.

The fact is, we are always with God, wherever we are, but today we are here

to hear the authentic voice of God.

The second question asked by the same young man  was, “What is the way

to God?” And he said, “There is no road to God. God is an abyss. If you have

courage, jump.” Maybe this moment, young men and women will decide, let

    us become real instruments in Swami’s hands and find fulfilment in our lives;

but the mind is not so simple. When you use your hearts, you are face-to-

face with God. Once you start using your brain, it takes you away from God.

You do not have to give up everything and come here. Do whatever you are

doing, but change your attitude to life. “From this moment, I live for God; to

serve mankind.” That is the decision we must take. He will take care of the rest.

    YOUTH SATSANG

    30 AUGUST, 2015 DIVINE DISCOURSE

Just as oil is present in the sesame seed, fragrance inside the flower; sweet,

nectarine juice inside the fruit, and fire inside a piece of wood; likewise, God

is present in everything in this creation in an unmanifest way.

Dear Youth, Boys and Girls! Just now, the young boy spoke about why God is

important. He spoke about what God has said and how He has said it, but truly,

he did not tell you why God is important for you.

From birth until death, you all live with the false notion of identifying yourselves

with your appearance, which is due to your physical bodies. You call

yourselves boys and girls, young men, old men, young women, old women,

and so on. It is all based on the status of the body, which bears a form and name.

Just imagine that you have gone to attend a fancy dress

competition, like the children presented yesterday. Many of

them dressed like people who they are really not, but for the

sake of the drama they put on different kinds of makeup.

After the drama is over, if the child continues to wear the makeup and

costume, decides not to give up and starts identifying itself with the role

that it was playing in the drama, would it not be foolish? Would the

parents not reprimand him, “Cast  away those costumes! They were

only for that limited period; wash away all your make up, for that is not

    your true self!”?

Would they not take the child to the mirror, show him his true self and say,

“This is the boy you are, and not the role that you played; that was for then,

but this is what you truly are”? Just as the parents of the child who might havebeen obsessed with the play and does not want to give up the costume, try

to teach him who he really is, the same way, I come again and again in

different ages, different times, different places to come and tell you, “Cast

away the costume of the body, wash away this makeup of your name; what

    you truly are is God!”

Imagine if you live all your life without having looked into the mirror, without

    even knowing who you are. How would you feel? You would feel very strange;

something that is not natural, for, everyone wants to know how he or she looks.

If you truly are God and haven’t seen your true face yet, how uncomfortable

should you feel? All born again and again, wear different names and different

costumes, and play different roles. The truth is, these are only acts or roles. The

true actor, the person is behind the costume and names, is really God.

God is important because that is what you truly are. You must know who you

really are; you cannot live with a false identity throughout your life. For a long

time in the history of mankind, priests and people who held great positions in

spiritual institutions kept on preaching, “ You are different from God,” because

that was the only way they could hold on to their positions of being somebodyin between you and God, somebody who could take you to God, somebody

who could make you meet God, somebody who could bring the grace of God

to you; but that is false.

From the day I took upon Myself this mission, the only purpose for which I

worked, preached, and taught has been to tell you that you truly are God and

there is nothing that should stop you from knowing what you really are, other

than your own self. The journey between you and God, between you and your

true self consists of three steps.

The first place is ‘I’, the one you think you are; that is, this body with this name,

which is exactly what you are not.

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015-08-UK-English

    17/40

    16

However, like the child in the drama, who starts to believe

that the role is what his true self is, you all believe this body-

mind complex is what you are.

Believing that the name and form you presently have is what you trulyare, is ‘I’. This ‘I’ is the source of all attachments and ego. It drives you

to look after only yourself, to care for yourself, to worry about yourself,

to secure yourself, and to safeguard yourself. It does not think about

others. As long as you are happy and comfortable, it does not allow you

to feel the pain and sufferings of others. But ‘I’ is the first step, which

    you already are.

The next step is ‘ we’. From thinking about only yourself,

‘I and mine’, you must grow to ‘ we and ours’. That is when

you become happy because all around you are happy. You are fine because all around you are fine. You are

comfortable because all around you are comfortable.

When you start thinking of others, that is ‘ we’. The final

step is ‘He’, that is, your own Divinity or Godhood. When

you think all are One and nobody is different from

another, because of continuously living selflessly for

others, your false identification with your own body and

name disappears and you identify with the whole world,

and slowly, the entire creation. That’s  when you reachthe state of Godhood.

If a person is wearing a coat, shirt and innerwear, how can he see his body? He

has to cast away his clothes and remove the innerwear; then he can see his skin.

Likewise, all feelings of ‘I and mine’ have to be cast away. ‘We and ours’ also

has to be cast away and finally, what remains is what you truly are. This is the

step-by-step journey you need to undertake. You are looking for God

everywhere, you think He will be found in books or temples, or in rituals or

pilgrimages; but that is not where He is. You must find Him where He really is.

Once, a rich man embarked on a pilgrimage to a very holy place called Kashi

in India, by the banks of the River Ganges. This man started on the journey with

his servant. The servant was very cunning, and he was keeping an eye on a box

the rich man was carrying. It had money and some valuables inside. The rich

man was aware of the intentions of the servant, who was trying to rob him of all

his valuables. As they walked, there were not many places where they could

stay overnight. It was not like today, when we have airplanes and hotels, but

you had to take the entire journey by foot.

As they walked, it became dark and in the night they decided to rest in a certainplace. In the old times, for pilgrims going to holy places, many people with big

hearts would provide shelter overnight so they could undertake their journey.

    17

Such is the culture of India. They would consider people

trying to reach God as holy and try to help them with food,

water and shelter on their journey.

This man, along with the thief, decided to take rest in such a place. The servant slept in the same room as the rich man, who had the box

with valuables by his side. The thief thought he could steal away the

     valuables and run away.

He woke up after some time and looked for the key to the lock. He

searched everywhere but could not find it. He even searched under the

bed and the pillow of the rich man, but he could not find it. Finally, he

    gave up and slept.

In the morning, the man said, “Oh servant, I need to go for a bath. Get me

some clothes from the box so that I may go and take my bath.”

The servant said, “I do not have the key to your box. How can I open it and give

    you the clothes?”

The rich man was aware of his intentions and said, “Oh, you searched

everywhere all night for the key, but didn’t find it?”

The servant responded, “So you knew about it. I’m  sorry master, but I was

tempted so I searched everywhere, but I could not find the key.”

The master then said, “I knew you were going to search for the key, so I havehidden it under your  pillow. You did not search under that!”

The moral of the story is, you look for this key to happiness, this key to joy, this

key to a greater life everywhere outside. You do not know that it lies right in

your own hands. It is up to you to become what you want to become. What you

are, is already given to you by God. It is a gift from God. That is why it is called

‘present’. The present must be utilised well and it will take care of the future.

Many young men and women, are always worrying about what will happen to

them in the future, and they do all kinds of things to secure and safeguardthemselves, to become better in their future. Unfortunately, all the efforts are

only to gain materially, financially, and socially, but no effort is put to develop

spiritually. Why would somebody as rich as Tigrett give up all the material

wealth for which he worked all his life for the sake of his heart’s calling?

Because he knew that all that did not give him true happiness. He could buy a

costly bed, but he could not buy sleep. He could buy costly food, but he could

not buy hunger. He could buy costly medicines, but he could buy health. He

could buy everything in the world, but he could not buy peace of mind. He

knew that could be found only at the feet of the Lord, and that is what made him

do what he did. We do not have to give up the material world in order to be

close to God. What is important is not to give too much importance to the world.

Between the choice of world and God, God should always

    come first.

The key to the happiness and joy that all are searching for, lies in the

word ‘ JOY ’. ‘ J’ stands for ‘ Jesus first’, ‘O’ stand for the ‘others next’ and‘ Y ’ stands for ‘yourself last’. As long as you live your life in accordance

with this word JOY, by keeping God first in your life, others next and

yourself last, you will always be full of happiness. The happiness that

you cannot buy and cannot find in the world outside, you’ll find within.

The key lies right under your own pillow. Don’t look for it outside. Live

your life for the sake of others and see what kind of joy you can get. Truly,

God is not far away from you; you yourself are God. The only problem is

that you do not believe that you are God. You believe everyone who tells

you that you are a great doctor, engineer, accountant, or lawyer. You feelhappy and believe all of them, but when people come and tell you that,

above all, you yourself are God, you are not ready to accept it. If you truly

    believe, you will become That.

By continuously thinking of God and believing that you are God, slowly, all

your actions, words and thoughts will change and you will become God.

Therefore, it is said, “Sow a thought, reap an action. Sow an action, reap a habit.

Sow a habit, reap a character. Sow a character, reap a destiny.” If you think you

are God, you will become God. If you think you are just a body, you are just anordinary mortal being, then that is what you will always remain. Aim high, soar

high. Think you are God and work accordingly.

God is love, selflessness, compassion, and

kindness. If you are God, you ought to

behave like God. You would expect a

cuckoo to sing, not bark like a dog.

Likewise, if you really think that way, every

thought, every act, and every word should

be the way God would do, God would think, and God would say. Before you say, think or

do anything, ask yourself, “Does it befit the

truth of my being God?”  If it does not,

discard it, for that is not what you truly are.

It is natural for a dog to bark and bite; you don’t expect a dog to do any better

than that. However, as Divine beings that you all are, your duty is to live in

accordance to your true Divine Self. Continuously go from the limited thinking

of ‘I and mine’  to larger thinking of ‘ we and ours’. This is the first step, and

slowly, as you start on this journey, eventually you will realise that everything

is ‘He’, and everything is His. There is nothing called ‘I’ and ‘ we’. Everything is

    His. Everything is Divine.

If you start early and drive slowly, you can reach safely. At

this young age, when your body, mind, and heart are strong

and capable, you must undertake this journey towards God.

Once you grow old and frail, there is not much you can do,

not too far that you can go.

As one individual, if you try to embark on this journey alone, you may

get tired and give up soon. However, as a group of people, if you walk

together, you can walk much longer.

My message to all the youth is, you truly are God. Until you realise that,

you must not stop. As Vivekananda said, “ Arise! Awake! Walk until you

reach the goal and don’t give up half  way.” You must all walk together,

hand-in-hand and walk towards your divine destiny. That is how you can

undertake this long journey comfortably. As young boys and girls, consider yourselves brothers and sisters born of the same parent, God,

and walk together and reach your destination, which is Divinity.

Just as a farmer plants seeds in the ground to make them grow, I am going to

throw seeds as well. A seed that falls on fertile ground will grow. If it falls on a

hard rock, it will be wasted. If it falls on a sandy soil, it won’t grow. Likewise,

what I say has the potential to change you, but what you do with what I say, will

define whether you really change or not.

If your minds are full of purity, your hearts are full of love, and hands are full ofservice, then whatever I say will germinate and grow into a tree, which will

bear fruit and give shade to the needy. It is your primary duty and only duty in

this world to realise your Divinity. Everything else should help you lead to That.

Whatever is not allowing you to become that, is simply a waste of time and

energy. This is a very important time for you, as youth. Use it well, in the right

way. Do not waste time, energy, money, or your life.

This November, there is going to be a World Youth Meet in India. For a long

time, Bhuvana has been requesting Swami, “Give us a message that we can use.

Please give a message to the world’s  youth.”  Today, I am giving you this

message. It is very simple to say, but it needs courage to follow:

    Hear all, say nothing;

    Bear all, do nothing;

    Give all, take nothing;

    Serve all, be nothing.

If you have any questions, you may ask.

    YOUTH SATSANG

    30 AUGUST, 2015

    QUESTION AND ANSWER

Question 1:  Dear Swami, You created this wondrous universe. Is there life

beyond Earth and other beings on other planets? If so, do they go through the

same trials and tribulations that we do?

Swami: In this world, there are many continents. In these continents, there are

many countries. For those who haven’t travelled, people in a small village in

India, may think America does not exist because they have never been there

or seen it. For people in America, those who have not travelled, may think that

London does not exist because they have not been there or seen that. People

in London, may think Africa does not exist because they cannot see it with theirnaked eyes, standing in London. Likewise, all are bound by certain limitations

of space, time and circumstances, because of which you can only perceive so

    much.

Until an Indian flies all the way to America, he  won’t know that America really

exists. Until an American flies to London, he may not know that London exists.

Similarly, only if a person in London goes to Africa, will he really know it exists.

As long as you consider yourselves as humans, you have limitations and are

bound, and you cannot perceive beyond the three dimensions in which youlive. However, more than physical universes or physical worlds existing

outside, there are worlds that exist in parallel to the world that you live in.

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015-08-UK-English

    22/40

    21

You only live in the physical plane of existence. There are

higher planes, which are described in the  shastras

(scriptures). There are 14  lokas  or worlds that exist above

and below the plane of Earth, but they are not in the matter

state, they are in the state of energy.

When you speak of hell and heaven, do you think there is a place called

heaven where you can take a flight and go? No. All energy converts into

matter, and all matter eventually converts into energy. People worship

many gods and goddesses; where do they exist? They don’t exist in the

physical state, like all of you, but you still believe that they exist

somewhere, in some place. These are all states of energy. Before they

become matter, they exist as energy.

Therefore, more whether there are other worlds in this physical universe  –  yes there are  –   what is important is that they are just the tip of the entire

creation. The real world that is far bigger than this physical world, exists at a

state of energy, in a subtle state, where there are beings, things that being

done, and many forces that control the working of this physical universe.

And that is where you find higher beings, higher evolved personalities, gods,

goddess, angels, demi-gods –  all these beings exist there; they don’t exist in

the physical world. How do you understand, see, or perceive these beings? The

mind is like an antenna; it can catch the signal. In a television, there are

channels. If you change the channel, you can see the next program. If you go to

the Indian station, you will see the Indian program; if you go to the Western

station, you will see the Western program; and if you go to the African station,

you can listen to the African program. Likewise, as you change the channels of

the mind, you can see the other worlds. The mind is an instrument that can

grasp far beyond the physical. Even as you all sit here, you only see what is

possible to be seen with the physical eyes –  the visible range of light; but there

is an infrared and an ultraviolet spectrum which you cannot see.

Even as you sit here and listen, we can only hear the audible range which yourhearing faculty can grasp. However, there are sounds above and below that

which you cannot hear. The instruments of the senses are limited and can only

perceive so much, but there are things existing below and above this

perceptible range that are available to human faculties.

Therefore, yes, there are worlds, there are beings, there are things that exist

beyond human perception. But more importantly, they are in the energy world,

    not the physical world.

You must also believe in them; otherwise, how do you explain that for ages,

man has been worshipping gods and goddesses and truly does not know what

    their address is?

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015-08-UK-English

    22

Question 2: Dear Swami, what do I need to focus on next in

my life? Please guide me in making the right choices in life.

Swami:  The answer to this question, for the benefit of all, I havealready given in My discourse. Everything that you do, think or say,

do it in accordance with your divine nature. If it helps you become

more Divine and less selfish, then do it. If it does not allow you to do

    that, don’t do it.

Those who belong to you will always stay with you. They are destined by

Divinity. Therefore, love needs no selfishness. Love does not bind, it

frees. Learn to free not to bind. If you take up any work, be it a job here

or anywhere else, as long as it allows you to perform it in a righteous way,

that you do not disturb your inner peace, take it up and do it. You cannot

escape work while you are in this world, but make sure that the work is in

line with your divine feeling, divine nature; this will help you evolve and

not devolve you into a lower being.

Between the choices that you have to take in life, choose those that will help

you to move closer to God. Everything that you do, think or say, do it in

accordance with your divine nature. If it helps you to become more Divine and

    less selfish, then do it.

Question 3: Dear Swami, should I go to Australia? Is this the right path for me?

Also, who is the right life-partner and the one I should marry?

Swami: He is going to Australia only to get married! (Laughter) The marriage

is good for you. If the life-partner is Divine, proceed. Marriage works both

ways; it is a double edged sword –  it can cut if you do not know how to use it.

There was this great saint in India named Kabir Das. He was a weaver by

profession. His wife was so obedient that, whatever he said, she would not

    question.

One day, in broad daylight, he asked his wife to bring a lamp so that he could

search for his needle. The wife simply obeyed. Kabir Das said, “Are you a fool?

Can’t you see that there is so much light? Why do need to bring a lamp to search

for the needle?” She simply returned with the lamp and put it back. She did not

question and argue with him. If you get that kind of a life-partner, definitely go

    ahead with the marriage.

Question 4:  Dear Swami, working in demanding fields, people often takeadvantage of our good nature. How should we behave in such difficult

    situations?

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015-08-UK-English

    24/40

    23

From my experience, if we are too nice, people abuse our

good nature and treat us unfairly. So, how can we strike the

balance between keeping our morals, but at the same time,

not allowing people to treat us unfairly?

Swami: While you are in this world, your primary duty is to be good.

A tree does not differentiate who eats the fruit; an insect may eat the

fruit, a bird may also eat the fruit and, if it falls, another animal may eat

the fruit, or a man who has grown the tree will eat the fruit –  it does not

differentiate. A river follows for everybody’s  sake  –   it does not

differentiate whether an animal, a good man, or a criminal drinks from

it; its nature is to flow.

As long as you think that you need to be good, whatever be the cost, you

ought to be good. However, since you live in a world where there are people who may take advantage of your good nature, My advice is –  follow the rules

everywhere. If another person will become lazy as a result of your goodness,

don’t do it. If parents feel they are being compassionate to their children by

letting them do whatever the children feel like doing, truly, they are not

being good parents. If they start doing their children’s homework to help

the children be comfortable, they not doing good to the child.

Hence, return to your heart and ask yourself whether doing an activity will help

or actually the person. The heart will reply and you will know whether you

should proceed or not, because the other person may take undue advantage.

Sometimes, you may find it so difficult to say ‘No’  to people because of ego,

rather than compassion. You may think, “It’s not for me to say ‘No’,” if someone

asks. Actually, it is the ego that makes you say ‘Y es’. If you are humble enough

and realise that there will be a problem if you help, you should have the

humility to explain in a nice way, “If  I do this, you won’t learn anything; if I do

this, you will be failing in your duty; if I do this, you will not grow and evolve.

That is why I do not want to do it. But yes, I can be by your side and help you,

but you must do it yourself.”  With good nature, with good heart, with good words, if you explain nicely, even the person who is wrong will understand

     what you are saying.

    Many times, out of anger, people try to punish others by being rude to them;

that is not the way. Whatever be the mistake, you can correct with love. If you

correct with love, the correction will remain permanent. If you punish and are

harsh to people, it will never remain for long.

Therefore, My advice is: first, be good. By helping or not helping, it will decide

whether you become good or bad. Sometimes, by not helping, you are being

good to a person, because he or she will then have to do it themselves, and

become better. If you know more than others, help them to do it themselves

and be by their side; do not let them take undue advantage.

However, when you do not know people, when you are in a

situation where you are not aware of the realities, then

simply help, because your help should not discriminate or

differentiate. When you know a person, ask your heart and

proceed accordingly. Do not be harsh or rude; even if you

have to say ‘No’, say it in a sweet way so that the other person

    understands.

Question 5: Today’s youth are finding it increasingly hard to meet a life-

partner whom they can marry. Marriage does not seem like it used to be

at the time of our parents, with the rates of divorce increasing. Please

Swami, can You give us some advice on how to deal with this matter.

Swami:  Marriages will survive longer if men and women understand why

they should marry, not whom they should marry. Marriage is a way to expand

your love. Before marriage, a young man thinks only about himself, and a

young woman thinks only about herself. Before marriage, even if a girl stays

next door and falls sick, the boy is not going to bother, because she is not

related to him. After marriage, he starts to think, “How can I make her happy?

How I can look after her better?” In this way, his love expands only from ‘I’ to

‘ we’. Even though it was within the family.

When they have children, their love expands further to look after the welfareof the children. Before putting one morsel of food in his mouth or her mouth,

the mother and father would think whether the children are comfortable,

whether they are fed, and whether they are happy. This love teaches them to

sacrifice, and through sacrifice alone can you become happy. All the

marriages, which are not based on sacrifice, will not survive long.

True love is sacrifice, when you think of others first and yourself later. If

husband and wife can think of each other more than themselves and are willing

to make sacrifices for each other, then marriage will survive.

All cannot take to the path of renunciation and start living for the entire world

from day one. For them, the path is from the individual to the family, from the

family to society, from society to the nation, and from the nation to the world.

In Indian culture, life is divided into four parts: before marriage, you are just an

aspirant, a person who is getting educated or learning; the second phase is

    married life, where you live with your wife and children and take care of them;

the third stage is that of social service, where you stop thinking about your own

family and start thinking about society; and the fourth phase is the spiritual

state, where you only think of God and not even society. Once you proceedstep-by-step, it will happen.

That is why I say, when people marry only based on

attraction to outer looks, outer beauty, which disappears

with time, the ‘love’ that you call love, but I call attachment,

will also disappear with time. One who marries looking at

inner being, goodness, kindness  –   that person will stay

longer. Unfortunately, it is very rare to find people who are

    both beautiful outside and inside.

That is where people make the wrong choice by considering only outer

beauty and start making mistakes. Marriage is to help you learn sacrifice

and help you adjust. Without that, one’s selfish nature can never carry on

    for long.

Question 6: Swami, why do I get the tendency to eat meat at sometimes and

    smoke or drink alcohol?

Swami: Yesterday, one of the speakers said all have evolved from monkeys.

As you evolve from a stone to a plant, to an animal, to a human, you carry past

tendencies with you. The entire world is a combination of three things: Tamas ,

that is, inertia;  Rajas , activity; and Sattva, pure feelings. It is all a balance of

    these three.

Some people have more of inertia and activity and less of purity. Others have

more of purity and less of activity and inertia. All have varying degrees of thesame three qualities. Tamas  has come from when you were just matter, that is

jada  –  stones, mountains or earth.

Rajas  has come from when you evolved into plants and animals, who have to act

in order to sustain themselves. Things won’t come to them; they must go out to

feed themselves. That’s how Rajas  came about.

Animals also have a sizable portion of Tamas , too, so many animals sleep half

the year and work only the other half, because of their nature that comes from

there being jada, or matter. Eventually, you evolve into human beings, wherepurity gets added to your character. That is the divine portion. The more you

give up Tamas  and Rajas , and the more you fill yourself with Sattva, you become

more Divine. However, all these tendencies come from the past. That is what is

known as Samskaras , tendencies which arise from previous incarnations.

Just as you have learned many things since you were born –  you did not start

running, talking, writing or reading right away –  you learnt these over a period

of time; similarly, you gave up things that were not right and you picked up

    things that were right.

The temptations come from the past, but they can be overcome by constantly

thinking about your Divine Self. Divinity would not like to drink, smoke or eat

meat. Animals, on the other hand, would.

It’s a half -truth to say, “I am not an animal.” You must say, “I

am a man; I am not an animal”.  Give up your animal

qualities; develop divine qualities. That is what the whole

journey is about. Temptations are natural. As long as you

identify yourself with the body, these temptations will come,

but life is all about conquering them through persistent

effort and constant reminder of your true Divine Self.

Question 7: Swami, how can I be of service to You? What is it You would

    like me to do?

Swami: I don’t need anyone’s service. If you can serve your fellow beings,

that is the right way to serve Me. Do not lose an opportunity to help or serve

anyone in need, whether you know them or not, whether they are associated

with you or not. As you walk on the road, if an old man needs something to

be carried, help him - you are serving Me. As you are walking, a hungry

person needs food and you give him food  –  you are serving Me. A person

who is sick, you help him with medicines –  you are serving Me. Even a kind

word to a depressed soul, a loving glance to somebody in sorrow, or a pat

to somebody who is afraid  –  everything is service to Me. So start serving,

don’t wait for Me to tell you what to do. Opportunities are everywhere.

Nowadays, the cars have GPS where a woman’s voice inside the car will tell you where to turn and where not to turn. Recently, a devotee gifted Me a car. That

car also tells you how to go and how not to go. If you want reach from one point

to another, there are different routes. Routes which are already there are

destiny. It is written that if you want to go from Point A to Point B, these are the

two or three roads available to you. However, there is will-power that is also

available to you. You choose which route you would take. If you ask your heart,

God will tell you the shortest, easiest, and most comfortable route. You can take

that route and proceed. However, if God tells you to turn right turn and then left

and you don’t obey, obviously, you will have to go in a big circle and comeback to the same road later.

That is what you do with your lives. You are born as humans so that you can

become Divine. Everything you do must take you towards your destination of

    Divinity. God tells you, “Be selfless, be fearless, be kind, be compassionate;

this is the route to Divinity; this is your destiny. You have to be Divine.” When,

however, you choose not to follow God’s instructions because of limited will-

power, what happens? You deviate, you go around the whole place, wasting all

your time, petrol, and energy, and finally coming back to the same road. You

end up wasting all your life and keep coming back birth after birth after birth, because you have been wasting petrol and time.

Whenever the tank is empty, you need to refill it; every time

your breaths are over, your life is over, you need to take

another life to continue the journey. Therefore, the destiny of

Divinity, which you must reach, is fixed. That is the ultimate

destiny for everyone. What you do when you are on the road,

whether you obey the commands of your heart or simply

follow your mind and get distracted –  that is your free will.

If you have good company and you’re always reminding yourself of your

Divine Self, then you’ll  never miss the path; your heart will guide you

straight to your destination. Life is already given to you; it is a gift. What

you do with it is in your hands.

Fate and destiny do exist, but God has also placed will-power in your hands.

The only time God will take over and there won’t be any will-power, is whenyou surrender it at the feet of God. The power that He has given you, if you

give it to Him and say, “I want to follow the heart,” and ask the heart, ask

God within, then there is no confusion. You will reach your ultimate destiny,

     which is Divinity.

Question 8: How can we alleviate the suffering of the elderly? How can we help

    them become more independent?

Swami: The world is very selfish. As long as someone is of use to you, you wantto be friends with them. The moment they cease to be of service, like an old

car, you send it to the workshop and don’t care for it anymore. Parents –  who

have looked after you, brought you up, and are the reason you are what you

are –  cease to become of much help to you as they grow old. It is very selfish

on the part of children to behave like this and not look after their parents.

Sreenivas always says, the whole idea of developing hospitals is that we should

not have any more hospitals; everybody should be free of all diseases.

    Old age homes should be reminders to you that society is still not responsible;

that is why there is a need old age homes or separate places for the elderly.

What you children can do, is first take of your own parents in your home. If each

child looks after his or her parents, that itself solves most of the problem.

However, if you have time, go to the places where the elderly reside.

If you cannot help them directly, put them in a place where they can be helped.

What they need is not much; their physical cravings have diminished, their

memories are failing, and they are just counting their days. All they need is a

little love and respect. If you find some time, it does not cost you much to go to

such places, spend a few hours talking to them, listening to them, and tellingthem about yourself. That is more than enough.

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015-08-UK-English

They should not leave feeling that the world is a cruel place,

people are only selfish, and without wanting ever to come

    back here. They must go with the feeling, “God does exist;

love does exist. There is compassion and care.”

As young people, never forget that one day, you will also be the same,

and what you sow, is what you will reap. If you help them, who knows

what help will come back to you some day, in some way, when you

need it the most. More than anything else, spend time with the elderly.

    That is all they need.

Question 9: Dear Swami, there is something called ‘the Law of Attraction’,

which suggests that if you think positively about what you want to manifest

and achieve in life, your vision and thoughts will manifest into reality. Is it

right to do this and have a vision, or should we just surrender and let things

come and be as they are?

Swami: The thought of surrender is itself a positive thought, which will attract

everything to itself. Even to think that you want to surrender, itself will make

you surrender and everything will follow.

Yes, anything that you think must happen. Every thought released is energy

released, which never dies. Energy is neither destroyed nor created. Every

thought leads to some word or action at some point in time. So, develop positivethoughts. There is nothing more powerful than a selfless thought. It will attract

everything to itself. You may have noticed, sometimes when you pray to Me

selfishly, I do not answer your prayers. Then you get angry with Me imagine

that Swami doesn’t care or love you. The truth is, I do not want you to become

more selfish. Pray for somebody else and see how I fulfil your prayer. Then you

will know that, yes, a selfless thought will attract everything unto itself.

Question 10: Swami, how do I know that I am on the right path? Sometimes, itfeels like You do not hear me when I talk to You or call Your name. Am I being

selfish? Am I being ungrateful for all that You have given me and more?

Swami: If you take a journey, you know there are certain stations that will come

as you go in this train. As long as the stations are supposed to come and are

coming, you know that you are on the right train. If, however, the stations are

different from what you are supposed to be meeting on the way, it means you

are sitting on the wrong train. You should immediately get down, take

somebody’s advice and get into the right train.

When you are really doing things for My sake, you will meet with the stations

called ‘Peace’, ‘Happiness’, and ‘Divine Joy’, and not the stations called

    ‘Restlessness’, ‘Hard-heartedness’, ‘Sorrow’ or ‘Sadness’.

  • 8/18/2019 VIAJES DE SAI BABA POR EL MUNDO 2015-08-UK-English

    29

You will not know these stations. So, every time you do

something, if you experience the feelings of peace and joy,

it means you are on the right path.

Many children try to talk to Me in the silence of their own hearts.Unfortunately, before I can start talking, they lose patience, get up and

go. You must have some patience to sit down and listen to Me. There is

no need of coming to Me to talk to Me. Just come to Me to listen to Me.

Be silent and wait for Me to speak. When you speak over the phone, if

you keep talking all the time, where is the time for the other person to

answer? If you keep silent, the other person can respond. Both of us

cannot talk simultaneously. Once when you keep silent, that’s when I

start talking. You must wait. Don’t give up too soon.

The entire purpose of My coming here and talking to all of you, is thepossibility of connecting to your own Divinity within. Before Sai Baba came,

there was also God. After Sai Baba goes, there will also be God. Sai Baba is

just a manifestation of the unmanifest God and nothing more. It is the same

water in different vessels, be it Rama, Krishna, Jesus, Allah, or Buddha. The

truth is, you are also a vessel, which carries Divinity. The quality is the same.

Therefore, all children and all elders must put in some effort.

Though there is oil in the sesame seed, it cannot be seen because it has to be

extracted. The fragrance in a flower cannot be seen; it has to be extracted. The

juice in a fruit is not seen; it has to be squeezed and extracted. The fire latent in

wood is not seen; it has be rubbed against another piece of wood to make it

manifest. Likewise, your Divinity is right there, within, but it is not seen because

it has to be made to manifest, and that will require you to become a little more

pure, selfless, compassionate, and patient. When I can wait for you for so long,

can’t you wait a few minutes for Me to come and speak to you? You must give

Me some time to manifest. Put in your effort and remember, no effort ever goes

to waste. It will definitely help you become closer to your true Self someday or

    the other. Never be disappointed.

I know there are more questions and doubts, but to all of them I have only one

answer – your answer lies within. You must find the answer for yourself within.

A teacher can only teach so much; beyond that, the student needs to put in the

effort and learn for himself. Put in your effort and you will know all the answers

    from within.

When you have a question or doubt, just close your eyes, take a deep breath,

and sincerely ask Me, “Swami,”  or whomever you worship, “God,  I have a

problem. I have a doubt. Can You guide me, please?” If you truly and sincerely

pray to Me, the very first answer that comes to you will be My voice. You can

hear it in your mind and go ahead and do it, even if it does not sound rational

at the time. Only after doing it, will you realise what it meant.

Practise this. The more you practise, the louder the Voice

will become. Then, you won’t  have to practise any more.

Everything that you do, will become guided by the Divinity

     within.

I have come here only to tell you that you are capable of that, you are

That; but a little effort needs to be put in to make it happen, to make it

manifest, and this the right age to put in that effort, because time is on

    your side.

All of you should join together and become a group and work together.

Individually, you will fade away in no time, but together, if you meet often,

at least once a month, and discuss your issues and problems and how you

can do better, how you can become a better human being, how you have

been or not been able to follow your heart, then each one of you can guidethe other and through these small study groups or study circles, you will

become better soon. Put in this effort of being together. Through good

company, you will learn many good things.

Today, I give you the following message. It is very simple to say, but it needs

courage to follow: Hear all, say nothing; bear all, do nothing; give all, take

    nothing; serve all, be nothing.

    PUBLIC SATSANG - CHIGWELL

    31 AUGUST, 2015

     MR. ISAAC TIGRETT

Baba invited me to watch His ‘exit strategy’. In 2006, Hesaid, “Give up the world and come live with Me for the

rest of your life,” which I did. In 2007, He sent me to

Singapore to give a talk, making sure to tell the

devotees, “Swami might leave earlier than expected.”

I thought I would get stoned by the audience before I

got out of that building because people were so upset!

Then, in 2009, He said, “Go to Dallas, Texas and remind

them that I can leave My body anytime I want.”

I watched Him all those years. He allowed me to witness the exit strategy all ofus must go through. His body had a series of illnesses. It came to a point where

He couldn’t talk, comb His own hair, feed Himself, or put on His own clothes.

I watched this in amazement because I knew who He was,

but of course, He appeared as a God-man. He demonstrated

everything that we all must experience in life.

Swami is here to remind you of your true personality, as this is the ageof mistaken identity. This is the end of the Kali Yuga. It is now the

darkest moment before the dawn. But dawn is right around the corner.

Swami’s even revealed that Prema Sai will be here soon. He told me when

we first met at Muddenahalli, He said, “I promised My devotees that My

mission would last till to the 96th year. I’m keeping that promise, but I’m

now in the Subtle Form. My body decayed, it was no longer useful. I

couldn’t complete My mission, so now I’m in this form and will be here

    until the 96th year.”

    SRI C. SREENIVAS

The most beautiful faculty God gives us is very

    mysteriously kept during infancy and

childhood. There is nothing equal in human

life to this age of wonder. The beauty of life

gets perpetuated, if you can retain that

wonder; but sadly, the rumble-tumble of life

sets in and seeming necessities and do’s  of

life take us further away from this beautiful

    age of wonder.

In my life around Swami, I always made a conscious effort to retain that wonder

that pervaded Swami in all that He did and stood for. The truth is, only one thing

mattered to Swami throughout His life, which I saw from very close quarters,

and that was you, because you are Him. Every breath He took and move He

made was for you. His earthly existence and thereafter, was only for you.I always wondered how it could be possible, that His every breath could be so

focused in its entirety on the welfare and happiness of others. The greatest

blessing I have received from Swami is this feeling of wondrousness. The

majesty, magnificence and marvel of Sathya Sai will always leave us with

wonder. That is what Swami was and that hasn’t ceased.

If we keep ourselves open, retain that childlikeness, that beauty of innocence

that so pervaded Swami, then we can really see the beauty of life. If only we can

stay as children, all the secrets of life and this universe will open up. There is

nothing so difficult in the world except when we decide to complicate our lives.

If you can retain your innocence, you will see Swami work through you, live in

you and take you forward in your life.

    SRI B. N. NARASIMHA MURTHY

Jesus was born 2,000 years ago, lived for 32

years, was crucified and died; but the truthis, Jesus was born but never died. He lives

on. His life, message, and inspiration are still

a love song in the wind for those who open

up their hearts. So it is with Bhagawan Baba.

He was born in 1926 but He never died,

though history writes that He died in 2011. It

does not apply to Divine personalities.

Swami is still with us carrying on the same mission for which He dedicated 85

years of His life in the physical body. His message and actions have Hissignature. He cannot be seen, no doubt, but the most beautiful things in the

universe can neither be seen nor touched –  they can only be felt in the heart.

You can feel Him in your heart, if you open your heart and have love.

If you have a doubt, the only way forward is to pray, “Lord, Bhagawan! I am told

that are in Your subtle body, but I cannot see You. If it is true, grant me an

experience.” Every one of you will be given an experience. Seek, and you shall

find; knock, and the door shall be opened to you; ask, and it shall be given to

you. Suppose you are not capable of such a prayer, you can still go and see the

wonderful educational campuses He has set up in the last four years in the

Subtle Form. The most amazing miracle marvel is in Raipur. When you go there

and look at the faces of the helpless children from very backward, rural

regions, you know that Bhagawan has lit the light of optimism, hope and faith in

their hearts. The shining and smiling faces of the young children, who have

come out of the hospital after getting rid of their heart ailments, is verily the

signature of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

PUBLIC SATSANG –  CHIGWELL DIVINE DISCOURSE

It is My pledge to confer bliss on the whole of mankind and protect everyone.

It is My love that removes the sufferings of the poor and downtrodden and gives

them what they lack. It is My vow, that those who stray away from the path of

righteousness, I will hold their hands and bring them back to the righteous path.

It is devotion to Me, if My devotees treat both sorrow and happiness with

    equanimity.

    Embodiments of divine love, devotees!

God is truly formless. He does not have a name and a form but,

out of love for His devotees, He comes down as an incarnation in

human form and behaves in a human way. God shines forth in this world, and the world also exists in God. The relationship between

the world and God is inseparable.

What is the proof for the existence of God? The very fact that the world

exists is enough proof for the existence of God. When you see a reflection,

you can easily conclude that the original object is also there. Without an

object, there cannot be any reflection. The object is God and His

reflection is this world is always there. The world is full of reflection,

reaction, and resound; truly speaking, it is not real. That is why the

Bhagavad Gita declares that this world is temporary and full of misery. Ina temporary world, you can only derive temporary happiness; you cannot

    get permanent happiness.

Here, a temporary marquee has been built.

You can sit here only for a while; you can’t

sit here all the t ime. If you want to reside

here permanently, you need to build a

permanent house out of bricks. If you think

this world is permanent and want to stay

here permanently, it is nothing but

    complete ignorance.

Therefore, you cannot get something which

is permanent from something which is

temporary. However, there are two things

which are permanent in the world: truth

    and good reputation.

All of you reside in United Kingdom. All of you know well what is meant by ‘the

United Kingdom’. If the question is asked, “Who  is the queen of the UnitedKingdom?”, even children will immediately know the answer. The children and

all of you know who the queen is today. However, do you know the kings and

queens who ruled over this land for many years and many centuries? You may

study it as a matter of history, but you cannot revere every one of them.

However, everyone will remember the great deeds of saints and sages and also

the good acts done in service to mankind. Hence, in this temporary world, only

two things are permanent: one is truth and second is reputation.

Earlier, Sreenivas said that, although many years have gone by since his

mother passed, people still remember the great service rendered by her and

still revere her. Only your good actions and good deeds will remain

permanently; all other things are temporary.

It is, therefore, dangerous to base your life on that which is

impermanent. For this temporary world, there is a

    permanent basis, which is God.

On a movie screen, the pictures may be moving, but the screen ispermanently standing. The unmovable screen is the basis for the

moving pictures. Similarly, on a road, many cars will be moving, but

road never moves. The permanent road is the basis for the

impermanent cars, which move on it. Similarly, for this ephemeral,

impermanent world, God, who is permanent, is the basis. However,

you can’t  see Him with your physical eyes or hear Him with your

    physical ears.

As long as He is in the formless, attributeless state, people having bodies

cannot understand Him. On the one side, it is said that God is formless andomnipresent. At the same time, many people say that God is in such-and-

such place and not in other places. They declare that God is everywhere, yet

say that He is only here and not there. This kind of duality happens because

of ignorance. Truly speaking, God exists where there is faith. If there is no

faith, God will not exist there. For one who believes even in a piece of stone,

that is God; but for one without faith, even if they are facing a  lingam, which

signifies God, they would see only a stone.

Once, when Swami Vivekananda was roaming throughout India, he reached the

palace of the King of Kashi. This King did not have faith in God. His believed

that the worship of stone idols as gods was useless. He felt these were all the

imaginary feelings of devotees, who worshiped stone as God. The King

received Swami Vivekananda with great respect and offered him all kinds of

adoration. Finally, he asked Swami Vivekananda one question, “All of you say

that God exists everywhere. You also say that God is there in this idol. How is it

possible? It is my view that this is all your imagination. It cannot be the truth.”

Swami Vivekananda observed that in the grand palace, there was a big painting

hung on the wall. He asked the King, “Whose picture is that?” The King said,“That is my father.” Then, Swami Vivekananda went near the painting and spat

on it. The King immediately became very angry. “Why are you spitting on the

face of my father!?” he demanded to know. Swami Vivekananda replied, “It is

not your father; it is only a painting. Why do you think it is your father? Because

you think it is your father, you have so much love for that painting. If somebody

disrespects the painting, you feel very sad. Because you think that painting is

God, you are respecting it. Similarly, a statue is not merely stone; for those who

look upon on it as God, it is verily God.”

That is why the Vedas declare, “Wherever you see, God is there; He has Hishands and legs everywhere, He has His ears and eyes everywhere, He has His

head everywhere; He encompasses everything in that universe.”

You may simply learn the  stanzas , but you are not

    understanding what it means.

You may go to a temple, a church, or a masjid and look for God, but

you are not able to understand and realise God, who is there ineveryone. You say that you want God in the church, but you don't want

God who resides in youneighbour. You announce that God exists in

    everyone, but your behavio
