Guiding Principles / PolicyAdopted at 5th Feb 2018 PC meeting:

(1) Additional signs(a) traffic & road signs

(i) 2 x MVAS be purchased

(ii) and attached to the existing Highways signs warning of play area

(b) In compliance with a legal requirement under the Occupiers Liability Act 1957, 1984 purchase and display correct and adequate signage.

(c)Once all the Policies have been agreed, purchase & erect a sign showing a map of the VG stating what is allowed and what isn't allowed (eg dogs, cars, horses, camping)

If correctly sited, could incorporate information required for (b) rolled into 1 sign.

(d) HSE warning (i) Play area should include No unaccompanied children

(ii) pond sign should include "Unfenced Pond" "No unaccompanied children" & "deep water"

(e)First Aid (i) Pond, Play Area signage should include First Aid notice

(ii) Pond lifebelt & Village Hall defibrillator to have instruction notices

(g) There are already dog poo signs

(2) Business signs(a) All/any signs

(i) must comply with planning laws / regulations, (ii) must comply with Conservation Area regulations(iii) must comply with Devolved powers regulations(iv) must be covered by 3rd party liability insurance

(b) Event signs(i) temporary event signs (eg bike nite, fete, village hall) must be set up a few days before and removed a few days after subject to (2)(a) above

(c) trades from home(i) can affix to own property subject to (2)(a) above

(f) existing pub signage currently (Aug 2017) on site and/or approaches(i) no action will be taken provided a written undertaking is received that such signs fully comply with (2)(a) above
