SEE HOW WE’RE USING INNOVATIVE
HUMAN-BASED THERAPIES IN VETERINARY MEDICINE
Veterinary medicine has seen drastic technological ad-vances over the years and many new tools and procedures have been adopted from human medical practice. These advances lead to better treatments and faster recovery times. In addition to MRI/CT scans and ultrasounds, there are many new diagnostic and therapeutic tools giving NorthStar VETS® doctors better resources to save sick pets.
Below are the some of the exciting ways our veterinarians incorporate human modalities into patient care.
• Minimally-Invasive Procedures: - Arthroscopy
- Laser Therapy - Laparoscopic Gastropexy - Ethanol Ablation - Prophylactic Laser Disc Ablation (PLDA)• Hemodialysis: - Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy - Therapeutic Plasma Exchange - Intermittent Hemodialysis
• CENTERLINE™ Total Hip Replacement• Ventilator Therapy• Remote Glucose Monitoring• In-House Clinical Pathology• Chemotherapy• Printed 3D Models As Surgical Planning Tools• Synthetic Skin Expanders As A Surgical Tool• Advanced Oral Surgery / Endodontic Procedures• Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation• Blood Banking and Transfusions• Cryotherapy• Intralipid Emulsion Therapy• Teleradiology / Telemedicine• Transcatheter Stent Placement• Immunotherapy• Stem Cell Therapy and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Scheduling An AppointmentIn the event of an emergency, you do not need a referral from your family veterinarian, but we do recommend that you con-tact them first. If they are closed, please bring your pet to your closest NorthStar VETS® location. It’s helpful to call ahead so we can be best prepared for your arrival.
Specialist appointments can be made by referral from your family veterinarian. If you have specific questions regarding your appointment, our Client Liaisons are available to assist you. Please bring your pet’s medical records and any diag-nostics (imaging/bloodwork), if provided. When scheduling, please inquire if any additional testing preparations are recommended for your pet.
A Collaborative CultureThe true hallmark of our culture is a col-laborative team environment, ensuring that patients have access to whatever care is needed. Our growth is fueled by an unwavering commitment to providing unsurpassed medical care to all patients and attentive service to pet parents and our referring veterinarians..
An Award-Winning FacilityNorthStar VETS® was founded by a surgeon and is still leading the way 20 years later. Our 33,000 sq. ft, state-of-the-art hospital won the 2012 Veterinary Economics Specialty/Referral Hospital Design of the Year Award, and the AAHA® Practice of the Year in 2013. We’ve invested in sophisticated diagnostic imaging, monitoring and treatment equipment to provide our team with the most ad-vanced patient-care technologies.
Serving Our Community Also Serves Our PatientsThere is no better way to show our true devotion to the com-munity and their companion animals than to participate in all aspects of service. Our compassionate team ensures that the bonds between pets and pet parents stay strong.
