United States veterans who have served in the armed forces were honored during Veterans Day events yesterday. It coincided with other countries marking Armistice Day or Remembrance day (Poppy Day), when in the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the armistice between the allied nations and Germany in 1918 effectively ended World War I. - PowerPoint PPT Presentation
