How it Works
Employees clock in & out using the Homebase Time Clock app on your iPad
You build a new schedule from the Homebase web dashboard at app.joinhomebase.com

GETTING STARTED
Sign Up & Set Up
Visit www.joinhomebase.com andclick Sign Up to create a new account.
Once set up, sign in to the Homebase Time Clock app on your iPad using the same email & password that you used to sign up.
Set up your web dashboard by adding your employees, editing your location Settings, and building your first schedule.
START TRACKING TIME
Using the Time Clock
To clock in, take breaks, and clock out, employees simply enter their PIN.
When you build a schedule on the web, employees will be able to select their scheduled shift at clock in or start an ‘Unscheduled Shift’.
Employees can rate their shift, leave comments for their manager and declare cash tips at clock out

Employees can also rate their shift, leave comments for their manager and declare cash tips at clock out.
All features can be turned on or o! from the Settings page of your Homebase web dashboard at app.joinhomebase.com.
Enable picture capture to take a photo of employees at clock in, preventing PIN theft. Photos will be stored on the web timesheet for safe record keeping.
TIME CARD OVERRIDES
Editing Time Cards
As employees clock in and out, time cards are created and displayed on the Schedule tab of the iPad.
From the Today tab, select the time card you wish to edit from the left hand side, then Edit from the right.
You have the ability to edit the scheduled time and the actual time itself.
Enter a Manager PIN to edit the time card details and click Submit.
OTHER TIPS
O!ine Sync
If any time cards were created while the iPad was o!ine, they will appear at the top of the Schedule tab under ‘Pending update to server’.O!ine time cards will sync back to the server once an internet connection is established.
If the time card does not update to the server after an internet connection has returned, this indicates there is a time card conflict with the web.
RESOLVING CONFLICTS: Click the time card, document the times, and press the Delete button (Manager PIN required).

OTHER TIPS
The Schedule
The Today tab o!ers a quick list of the employees that have clocked in today and their current status.
Toggle to a grid view by selecting the icon on the top right corner to see a visual bar of the start and end times of each shift.
YOUR PROFILE
Your Account
From the Account tab, you can edit your personal information like name, email, phone, and your profile photo.
Click the Messages tab to view or send messages to other team members.
Managers can also view the App Settings tab to set specific time clock settings.
IMPORTANT: If you select log out, this will DELETE ALL DATA (including any time cards
that are pending sync to the server).
