enry and I wanted to get married in a place that held meaning for both of us. As skiers, we had spent a lot

of time in Vermont together, and it grew to be one of our favorite places to visit. It was also important to us that we get married in a

peaceful and relaxed setting. We live in New York City, so we wanted the wedding to feel like an escape - both for us and our family and friends. It only made sense then, that Vermont is where we decided on getting married.

lexis and I love this handshake... Alexis and I were travel-ing in Poland on our first International trip together. My cous-

in’s daughter Julka was 9 years old at the time and against general law of kids, really warmed up to Alexis quickly. Before we knew it she

was teaching Alexis a new handshake... needless to say I wanted in on the action as well. The handshake that Julka taught us is very popular among Polish children and is made up of four parts... “Turtle, Barrel, Hot Dog, Fiver”.

Alexis and I absolutely loved her passion for this handshake nd subsequent-ly adopted it for ourselves. Alexis was meeting my extended family for the first time and she was the first significant other of mine to ever do so. I al-ways told myself that it wasn’t until I met ‘the one’ that I would bring that person to Poland to introduce her to our family’s roots. This simple little handshake was a great way to remember such a special time in our lives.

Since that trip to Poland we have continued traveling and have added several steps to our handshake... We knew that we would have to add a step for our wedding day, and what better way to end our new handshake than with a kiss! Our wedding kiss is now our eleventh step! It will be a great way to remember our wedding day and everything it represented for us! Here’s to many steps to come!
