Day 1: Sun, Dec 6 Arrive at the Kingston Shrine club at 8:00 am

for festive, holiday tour departure. We’ll join our fellow traveling friends and being this festive getaway to Vermont. “Gemutlichkeit” (Welcome) to The Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vermont. This unique mountain resort features Austrian-inspired architecture and European-style accommodations. Your group will enjoy stunning mountain views, old world comforts and impeccable service. We’ll enjoy a welcome three course dinner this evening in the Main Dining Room.

Day 2: Mon, Dec 7 We begin our wonderful day with a country

breakfast buffet at the lodge. We’ll then enjoy a Trapp History Tour. The tour begins with an overview of the von Trapp family history (actual vs movie version) discussion of the property’s history and the family’s early years in America. View a documentary film of Maria von Trapp’s memories during her final visit to her former home in Salzburg, Austria. Finish your tour with a viewing of the Documentary “The Real Maria”. Shop in their Austrian Gift Shop and have your souvenir signed by one of the Trapp Family members, to take home.

We’ll then enjoy free time in Stowe Village for lunch on your own. Browse the shops of this charming village with its “most photographed” church steeple. Find out how two childhood friends turned a $5.00 correspondence course into a very successful ice cream business. Tour Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Factory and learn the manufacturing process and taste the delicious samples! After a lovely visit in the village, we’ll return to the lodge for Afternoon tea. This evening our dinner will be a buffet in the new

“Bierhall” overlooking the brewery where they make varieties of Trapp Family craft beers!

Day 3: TUES, DEC 8 Again, a country breakfast buffet is included

this morning at the lodge before our local guide meets us at the inn for a day of touring. Our first stop is the Morse Maple Sugar Farm. Learn how maple syrup is made as you tour the sugar house. View the multimedia displays in a real woodshed theatre. Stroll along a nature trail and shop in the country store. Complete your tour in the Vermont Farm Life Museum complete with whimsical carved folk like characters.

Travel to Montpelier and tour the State Capitol – the smallest in the United States! Lunch is on your own at the State Capitol Café.

Your last stop of the day is the Cabot Cheese Annex. Browse the fantastic selection of Cabot products, sample their award-winning cheeses, and delight in many other Vermont specialty foods.

Visit our neighbors in the Annex and pick up some delicious Lake Champlain Chocolates, enjoy the beautiful Danforth Pewter store and be sure to visit the new Smugglers’ Notch Distillery tasting room! Visit and re-energize with a cup of coffee from Green Mountain Coffee Visitor Center & Café. Afternoon tea await us at the lodge upon our return. You can relax and freshen up before our three-course dinner in the main dining room. A wonderful day to end the day.

Day 4: Wed, Dec 9 Enjoy a country breakfast buffet again this

morning before we begin our travel home, taking with you many fond memories of your heartwarming Holiday stay at the Trapp Family Lodge.
