“VELOCITY BALL CIRCULATION”

Objectives:

• Develop the velocity of the ball circulation (attackers);

• Develop the creation of pass lines to the teammate with ball possession

(attackers);

• Develop the pressure mechanisms and defensive coverage (defenders).

Setup:

• 4 vs. 2 (3 teams of 2 players);

• Utilizing a square of 10x10yrd.

Organization:

• Two teams of 2 players play against one team of 2 players, originating a 4v2

situation (in the stipulated time, then change functions);

• The 4 attackers play outside the square and the 2 defenders play inside;

• The attackers try to give as many passes as possible in the stipulated time;

• The defenders try to win the ball as many times they can;

• Provide many balls around to avoid stoppages of the exercise.

Scoring:

• The total number of passes in the playing time (attackers);

• The total number of recuperations in the playing time (defenders).

Coaching Points:

Attackers Defenders

• Quick circulation of the ball;

• 1st touch quality;

• Pass quality;

• Constant creation of pass lines.

• Press the ball;

• Defensive Coverage (diagonal with the 1st

defender);
