• Performance Guidance for Automated Vehicles– Sets forth proposed performance and safety standards
for manufacturers, developers and other organizations– Includes 15 point “Safety Assessment”
• Model State Policy– Delineates distinctions between Federal and State
responsibilities and sets forth suggested model approach to achieve national uniformity.

• American Vision for Safer Transportation through Advancement of Revolutionary Technologies Act “AV START Act”– Safety Evaluation Report, similar to NHTSA safety
assessment– Preemption language over state/local control– Addresses cybersecurity, expansion of
