For heavily frequented parking facilitiesIn a multi-storey car park or an underground garage, Parking barriers from Magnetic are the ideal solution for professional parking applications. Thanks to their configuration and security settings, Parking Barriers are designed for use in heavily frequented facilities in which the movement of persons can be ruled out. Rapid opening times and the detection of tailgating vehicles ensure reliable processing for users, while low energy consumption, low-maintenance components and simple servicing keeps running costs down permanently. The barrier booms are

optimised for use in parking applications: with the boom breakaway option, for example, the boom is completely jettisoned in the case of a forced unauthorised passage – and it can be re-attached again without any impairment of function. In addition, visibility can be further increased by means of lighting elements and an expansion set. At the heart of the car park barrier is the innovative MHTM™ drive, characterised by its energy efficiency, lack of maintenance, and long service life – the Parking barrier is designed for 10 million opening and closing cycles.

For rapid toll processing

Rapid, reliable, and economical processing of road users is essential when collecting toll charges at bridges, tunnels and on roads. Toll barriers from Magnetic have been specially designed for this situation. The innovative MHTM™ drive at the heart of the barriers is characterised by its speed, lack of maintenance and energy efficiency, and thus keeps long-term costs down. The Toll barriers can be adapted to meet individual requirements: there are five models with opening times of from 0.3 to1.3 s, which can be

equipped with a variety of control devices, flanges and barrier booms. All barrier boom types can be provided with swing-away flange. In the case of a collision with a vehicle, the barrier boom is released and can be manually re-engaged afterwards. This protects the barrier boom and the drive unit. There is also the optional auto-swing-away flange for the soft boom, which automati-cally re-engages after a collision with a vehicle.

Toll barriers from Magnetic are the optimum solution for all toll applications thanks to their speed, reliability and low operating costs.

The articulated booms allow a maximum lane width of 4.5 m even with low room heights. The push rod retains the front section of the barrier boom in a horizontal position when the barrier is opened.

The articulated boom is designed for high-frequented use in the parking industry and ensures a hassle-free operation for many years. During the development process of the articulated boom, considerable emphasis was placed on protection from crush and shear injury.

The KBS articulated booms and KBB kit sets are based on the MHTM™ MicroDrive barrier boom VarioBoom.

When ordering an articulated boom KBS, the barrier boom is completely prepared for installation including a built-in hinge and a �xed bracket for the push rod. The barrier housing is supplied pre-drilled for �xing the push rod. When ordering an articulated boom kit set KBB, the barrier boom needs to be cut to size on site, the hinge �tted and the barrier housing drilled.

KBS and KBB articulated booms are available in di�erent versions for diverse lane widths and room heights.

For lane widths greater than 4.5 m, either a pendulum support or a support post is required.

The pendulum support with a built-in suspension mechanism, is designed to cushion the barrier boom when closing and supports the boom in the horizontal position.

The height of the pendulum support is continuously adjustable and may be therefore optimally adjusted to uneven driving surfaces or di�erent installation heights of the barrier and the support post.

The support post is designed to support the barrier boom in the horizontal position. It is protected against corrosion by galvanisation and powder-coating (colour RAL 7043).

Like the pendulum support, the support post is continuously adjustable in height, allowing to be optimally adapted to uneven driving surfaces or di�erent installation heights of the barrier and the support post.

The boom skirt provides additional security underneath the closed barrier boom. It is available as an option for MHTM™ Access Pro-L, Pro-H, Magnetic Access XL2, Magnetic Access XXL.

The skirt elements made of plastic and aluminium can be installed on-site without tools due to a simple click system. Single skirt elements can be easily replaced using a provided tool. The boom skirt has a robust guiding rod and operates smoothly and almost silently.

When opening the barrier, the boom skirt folds up to lie parallel to the barrier housing. Due to the folding mechanism almost the entire lane width is available.

During the development process of the boom skirt, considerable emphasis was placed on protection from crush and shear points. As a result of the S-shape and elasticity of the boom skirt elements, the risk of injury during operation is reduced to a minimum regardless of the barrier position. The bottom rail pro�le is also provided with foamed edge protection, further enhancing the safety.

A pendulum support or support post is mandatory for barrier booms with a boom skirt. The boom skirt is a registered design.

The boom skirt with over-climb protection provides additional security above and underneath the closed barrier boom. MRS Rising StepVehicle Access Solutions for Perimeter Protection

Description The Controller The Magnetic Rising Step is control-by a controller panel, which consist of programmable logic controller (PLC) is provided with an EEPROM chip or programmer to enable software adaption and interfacing with a variety of remote control devices, security access systems and key card readers. It also integrates the inputs from proximity switch and safety control devices. Outputs are provided for motor drivers, status conditions and warning lights or Traffic Light. Control voltage is 24v DC and the controller is housed in a lockable steel enclosure which is located in the main housing.

TechnologyThe MRS series of Rising Step Barriers are a high security vehicle barrier that was designed by Magnetic Control System is to prevent unauthorized vehicles from crashing through controlled entry and exit points. Built for fast reliable and efficient operation, these barriers are capable of withstanding high impact loads and is ideally suited for installation at military facilities, airports, prisons, police department, bank & warehouse where property protection from unauthorized vehicle entry is necessary. Visual surveillance is recommended during the operation of the barrier.

The frame and structure of the Rising Barrier is fabricated from heavy gauge steel fully welded prior to hot dip galvanizing which ensures maximum protection against corrosion. The barrier is hinged on its full length by a continuous stainless steel bar of 76mm diameter. The impact face of the barrier is reinforced with steel ribs and impact plates, which is 8mm thickness to transfer mechanical forces to the required and suitable reinforced concrete foundation. The top cover is made of galvanized steel checker plate which is 8mm thickness mounted on the main frame structure of thick section profiles capable of Axle loading of 15 Tons.

The barrier is operated from 2 parallel high speed hydraulic cylinders. A power pack containing an electric-motor-pump assembly and an accumulator is installed adjacent to the barrier in a lockable enclosure. Limit switches provide feed back for the fully up or fully down position of the barrier. Hydraulic energy stored in the accumulator during the rest period powers the step up in the shortest possible time. A safety valve locks the barrier in the "up-(secure) position incase of hydraulic failure or sabotage. Manual hand pump is available.

The MRS series of Rising Step Barriers are designed to prevent unauthorised vehicles from crashing through controlled entry and exit points.

Built for fast reliable and efficient operation, these barriers are capable of withstanding high impact loads and are ideally suited for installation where site security is paramount.

Typically installed in high security environments such as correctional facilities and government / military / law enforcement buildings.
