VC4Africa was pleased to partner with DEMO, and the LIONS Africa partnership network, to launch the first ever DEMO Africa event. Held in October 2012, the launch event saw 40 innovators come together from across the continent. In Nairobi the selected entrepreneurs launched their new startups on stage and for an international audience. VC4Africa managed the application process and built an online adjudication tool needed to process the 150 outstanding applications. The VC4Africa community looks forward to many more collaborations as we work to strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Africa.
