    A scalar is a quantity that has only

    magnitude

    E.g. of Scalars:

    Time, mass, distance, temperature, electrical

    potential etc

  • Vector

    A vector is a quantity that has both

    magnitude and direction.

    E.g. of Vectors:

    Velocity, force, displacement, electric field

    intensity etc.
