Vacation Bible Xtreme This summer VBX for rising 7th graders through high school will be June 14-18 from 6:00pm-8:30pm nightly. This year’s theme is Crash FIT. This is far more than our cross fit style class. This week is about our… FAITH IN TRAINING. We will spend time in God’s Word studying some of the I AM statements of Jesus. We will learn more about who He has called us to be by learning who HE IS. We will experience high energy games, recreation, mission opportunities and worship. Each night we will be led in the study of God’s Word by different guests. Sunday - I AM the Light - led by Buddy Miles Theme: 80’s Night…come dressed in your best 80’s wear and help us kick our a great VBX Monday - I AM the Good Shepherd - led by David Wike Theme: Super Hero Night! Dress as your favorite Super Hero on our second night of VBX Tuesday - I AM the Bread of Life - Stop Hunger Now Meal Packing Theme: Tuesday is Orange Night. Dress in as much orange as you can handle. Orange is the awareness color for hunger. Wednesday - I AM the Living Water - led by JD Lovell Theme: Nerd Night. From pocket protectors to taped up glasses, it’s going to be a nerdy great time on Wednesday! Thursday - I AM the Vine - led by Colin Raynor Theme: Neon Night. Let’s light up the final night of VBX by wearing all neon. GIVE Back at VBX! GIVE FOOD - Each night we are asking students to bring non-perishable food items such as peanut butter, canned chicken, canned tuna, and such that will not expire before the fall. We will use these foods to help stock up to send food home with school children here in Florence through Crashed With Love. GIVE $10 - We’re also asking students to give $10 to help feed 10,000 children. On Tuesday night we are taking the entire VBX night to pack meals for hungry children. Stop Hunger Now from Charlotte, NC will be here to help coordinate a rice/meal packing event that will provide 10,000 meals to starving children world-wide. These meals will be packaged and ready to send over seas by the end of our Tuesday night service. Bring the $10 any night of VBX to help defray the cost of the food.
