Task 1 Answer chapter questions on Variations

between families Questions 1, 2, 3 and investigate 2 traditional festivals celebrated by each of the five religions.

Extension 2: What are the opposites of what is shown in pictures A to H? For each opposite state which aspect of development is disadvantaged.

Task 2 Investigate the aspects of development

(pg 14 The Home) in detail, explaining why each is important for children.

Explain how feelings attitudes of family, culture and religion could influence development (positives and negatives).

Task 3 Reflect on your upbringing. Explain how

the aspects of development were encouraged or discouraged in your home environment.

Task 4 On a TV show (or shows) or Movie find

and explain examples of positive and negative influences on each aspect of child development.

Task 5 Examine an episode of Super Nanny

from You Tube and explain how aspects of development are met or not met.

Task 6 Debate: Get a good understanding on the

positives and negatives on home life and development.
