Alston Vanterpool CNF Interview A shared story I remember when I was about fourteen when I was told about and a moment in time when I was only two in a half. It was the time when the fair was in town. There were four of us going. My aunt, mom, sister, and myself were ready go and spend family time. The road seemed like a long journey almost as if we were going out of town. I would glance out the window and start shouting and having a good time. My mother only hinted my sister and I that we were going out somewhere. My sister would convince my aunt that we should stop by Mac Donalds and have a meal. Of course that idea worked and we were content. From the afternoon, we were within a mile of entering the fair. It almost seemed like forever because when night approached we were in the drive through wait. Finally, when we arrived we parked the car and prepared ourselves. My mother took out the stroller and put my sister and I in the stroller. As we entered. I was ecstatic to see all the lights and the various movements of the rides. The night seemed perfect. People were laughing, old people dancing.

A shared story

I remember when I was about fourteen when I was told about and a moment in time when

I was only two in a half. It was the time when the fair was in town. There were four of us going.

My aunt, mom, sister, and myself were ready go and spend family time. The road seemed like a

long journey almost as if we were going out of town. I would glance out the window and start

shouting and having a good time. My mother only hinted my sister and I that we were going out

somewhere. My sister would convince my aunt that we should stop by Mac Donalds and have a

meal. Of course that idea worked and we were content. From the afternoon, we were within a

mile of entering the fair. It almost seemed like forever because when night approached we were

in the drive through wait. Finally, when we arrived we parked the car and prepared ourselves.

My mother took out the stroller and put my sister and I in the stroller. As we entered. I was

ecstatic to see all the lights and the various movements of the rides. The night seemed perfect.

People were laughing, old people dancing. Finally, my aunt wanted to have fun and she took us.

My mother wasn’t a fan of rides. Besides, we were too young. I went to play basketball and I

was caught up in the game. I wanted a stuffed animal. I’d stay there and try to aim for the hoops,

but it seemed like a never end game. My mother awarded my effort by getting me something to

eat and buying a stuff animal. I enjoyed my time with my little sister. My mother and my aunt

would get along that night and spend time with her children. My sister would shout how she

wanted to go for a ride but we weren’t quite ready yet. Instead we played bowling and my mom

had e in one hand and my aunt had my sister in the other. That night really brought the family

together. After having the time of our lives, we packed up and headed home. We got there, we

were dressed and ready for bed. I played with my train set and basketball before the

lights when out. Before, my mom sat my sister and I at the table and we had ice cream and cake.

Only to find out it was the prelude to my birthday and couldn’t stop grinning. I felt the cold

shivering stimulate down my spine when I opened my first early present and it was a football

with swimming gear. The next morning we woke up and it was my birthday. The pool was in the

back yard. The wind was veering smoothly left and right. My uncle Joe had the barbeque set up

and I was enjoying myself. I included my sister in the fun because I didn’t believe to only

experience the enjoyment. Suddenly, I heard a noise echoing throughout the house. It turned out

to be my other uncle Jeremy saying happy birthday and he carried some presents. He brought

along my cousin so it was incredible that evening. My grandmother reached in and gave me a

kiss. The content look she had sang me a song which my family was humbled. The cake was

massive and three flicking candles. I took a wish and blew out the candles. It only seemed like a

dream but this is a life changing story which made me today. It was almost like a festival. But in

relation, the story implied how I saved her life in the hospital because it was an experience when

she was having me and she almost lost her life. That was a reminder for me that I saved her and

for them following years she would remind me when my birthday would come around. The story

definitely had meaning to me and for my family. After, life could consist of many meanings

which is empowering to one person to another. That memory would ever leave. I truly

understood what is meant to for someone’s to have life.
