The Festival of Flowers and Fruits is a popular celebration that takes place roughly between February and March of each year in the province of Tungurahua (Ambato-Ecuador). The Feast of Fruits and Flowers is named as one of the most beautiful celebrations around the country. It is the commemoration of the loss suffered by the inhabitants of the city following the earthquake of August 5, 1949.
