VANDE BHARAT MISSION – PHASE 5 Following additional flights are scheduled from Toronto under Phase 5 of Vande Bharat Mission

for repatriation of stranded Indians and Foreigners of Indian origin with OCIs and visas, for which bookings can be done directly with Air India.

3. Who is eligible to travel - Please note that only Indian passport holders and Foreigners of Indian origin with OCIs, who are students or have compelling reasons - family emergency – death, medical emergency, etc; and other Foreigners, who have obtained paper visa recently (during COVID restrictions) from the Consulate, are eligible to make bookings and travel on the special flights. For obtaining visa from Consulate, please take a prior appointment from [email protected]

4. Registration requirement – All Indians nationals/Foreigners of Indian origin with OCI and valid visas for India, desirous of travelling to India must register on Consulate’s website – www.cgitoronto.gov.in at the given link - https://bit.ly/2Wtmv3A. In case more than one family members are travelling, please register each family member separately.

5. Booking of Tickets with Air India – All flights are open for direct booking through Air India website. Passengers are requested to make their bookings with Air India on the link - http://www.airindia.in/index.htm.

6. Booking of air ticket through Consulate - Those passengers who have problem in making direct bookings on Air India website; those who are unable to pay through their credit cards; and those who already hold an existing Air India ticket, may contact the Consulate and email the following required documents (available on Consulate’s website under Vande Bharat Mission – documents to be submitted) by return to the email to – [email protected]

- i. Undertaking for Air India (Annex.I) - ii. A signed Undertaking (Annex.II). Original signed Undertaking is required to be submitted to Air India official at the time of check-in at the Airport.

- iii. Copy of Indian Passport / copy of Canadian or Foreign passport along with OCI or Visa.

- iv. Credit card authorization and copy of back and front of the credit card for onward transmission to Air India for issuance of air ticket. Please note that AMEX card is not accepted by Air India.

- v. Those holding an existing Air India ticket may provide a copy of the air ticket issued by Air India or a Travel agent that starts with 098………).

7. Please take due note of the following requirements to be observed by the travellers–

Thermal screening at the Airport - All passengers will be required to undergo medical screening before boarding the flight and only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to travel.

Submission of Self-Reporting/declaration online: The self-reporting/declaration form on the online portal (www.newdelhiairport) is mandatory from 11 August 2020 [this is a requirement and

should be preferrably done 72 hours before scheduled departure; Passenger will receive acknowledgement email with unique reference number along with the copy of the submitted form].

Quarantine – All passengers who wish to travel by special flights to any destination in India may travel to Delhi or destination states, depending on the available connectivity of flight. However, passengers will have to undergo mandatory quarantine as per the policy at Delhi or their home states. All travellers would be required to undergo 14 days mandatory quarantine on arrival in India - 7 days of institutional quarantine at own expense of traveller followed by 7 days of home quarantine. Please note that concerned authorities may allow Home Quarantine of 14 days for certain categories

having compelling reasons/cases of human distress such as pregnancy, death in family, serious illness and parent(s) with children of the age of 10 years or below, home quarantine may be permitted by concerned authorities in India, provided they apply on the online portal – www.newdelhiairport.in – by submitting a COVID19-negative report through RT-PCR test done 96 hours prior to undertaking journey. The online application should be made at least 72 hours before boarding]; Each passenger shall also submit a declaration with respect to authenticity of the report and will be liable to prosecution, if found otherwise. The test report could also be produced upon arrival at the point of

entry airport in India]; Under no circumstances international passengers will be allowed to mix with domestic passengers before mandatory quarantine.

The expected cost of institutional facilities in various States is uploaded on Consulate’s website under Mission Vande Bharat– https://www.cgitoronto.gov.in/page/quarantine-facilities/. Passengers are also requested to visit the websites of their Domicile States to go through the quarantine requirements/other guidelines to be followed on arrival in India.

All passengers on arrival in India shall be medically screened and must download and register on ArogyaSetu app.

SOPs from the Ministry of Home Affairs dated 24 May 2020 and Ministry of Health guidelines dated 02 August 2020 for international arrivals have been uploaded on Consulate’s website under Vande Bharat Mission – www.cgitoronto.gov.in

Access to the airport in Canada, including the terminal buildings, is restricted to travelers. Everyone using airport facilities must maintain 2 metres physical distance whenever possible.

All passengers and airport workers must wear a face mask at all times when in public areas of the airport in Canada and India.
