    Assessment AppealsPlease refer to the instructions forcompleting your application form tomake sure it is done correctly andcompletely. The application may bemailed or delivered to our office (we donot accept fax copies); be sure to includethe filing fee for each application you file.

    Your application for changed assessmentbased on the decline in market value(Proposition 8) may be filed with theClerk of the Board between July 2 andSeptember 15 each year. Applicationsfiled before July 2 will be rejected. Wemay accept applications that arepostmarked by the U.S. Postal Service onSeptember 15, but not after that.

    Applications appealing other assess-ments, such as supplemental and escapeassessments, must be filed within theappropriate timelines.
