She defends property insurance carriers against first-party bad faith lawsuits across the State of Texas, with an emphasis on residential and commercial wind/hail, hurricane, catastrophe and fraud defense, multi-district litigation and alternative dispute resolution.

In law school, Ms. Skrehot competed nationally in moot court and received an award for superlative appellate brief-writing. She also competed regionally in alternative dispute resolution and was recognized as best female negotiator among her classmates. Prior to graduation, Ms. Skrehot clerked for Honorable Ronald B. King, Chief U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Texas.

Ms. Skrehot is an avid volunteer and commits over seventy hours every year to a variety of non-profit organizations. In her free time, she enjoys refurbishing vintage furniture and spending time with her fiancé and their three dogs.
