She defends property insurance carriers against first-party bad faith lawsuits across the State of Texas, with an emphasis on residential and commercial wind/hail, hurricane, catastrophe and fraud defense, multi-district litigation and alternative dispute resolution.

In law school, Ms. Skrehot competed nationally in moot court and received an award for superlative appellate brief-writing. She also competed regionally in alternative dispute resolution and was recognized as best female negotiator among her classmates. Prior to graduation, Ms. Skrehot clerked for Honorable Ronald B.
