Vaikundarajan says, people across the globe will be celebrating ‘World Health Day 2015’ also known as ‘World Earth Day’.

Now, Why ‘Earth Day’? The reason behind this celebration as ‘Earth Day’ instead of ‘Health Day’ is that, in the year 1969 people suggested “birthday” as Earth Day since it rhymed.

This day is celebrated by people every year all over the world on 22nd April to raise awareness among the people about environment safety as well as environment protection measures.

Started in the year 1970 and it has continued since with 192 countries participating actively.

The intention behind this annual event was to get worldwide national support, raise awareness and to take care of the environment by solving its issues.

This year’s activities include a cleanup of the Great Wall of China, beach litter removal in Lebanon and an attempt to protect 25,000 acres of rain forest in Indonesia.

Vaikundarajan says, on account of ‘World Earth Day 2015’ Google is marking it with a special Doodle, which includes scientific and 1,000 percent accurate personality quiz which also tells you which animal you closely resemble to.

The alphabet ‘O’ in the word Google has been replaced with planet Earth which marks the significance of the day.

Vaikundarajan excitedly also says that One billion seeds/trees have been planted on account of ‘World Earth Day’.
