VagabondGALS, It’s another adventure for this Vagabond! I am typing from the US Airways Club Lounge at Philly Airport in anticipation of my two weeks of travel through Italy. Yes… although I have been to Europe a dozen times before, this really is my first trip to the most popular country for tourists. A special part of the trip will be to visit a branch of my husband’s family tree. His grandfather came over from the Trento area in the early part of the 20th century and there are still cousins galore in the family village. I am looking forward to meeting as many of them as possible. If you haven’t yet ‘liked’ our two Facebook pages for /vagabondtourandtravel and /vagabondGALS you should do so today. I will be posting photos of the trip daily! Our web site is still changing and growing. New to the Vagabond Tour and Travel site is a “destinations” section. I have started with Europe and am working my way around the globe. Be patient while we add the content. It is labor intensive. I am starting with short country descriptions, but useful links, preferred suppliers for the region, recommended novels about the region and more are soon to come. Don’t forget to register on the new vagabobdGALS web site for access to special information, the calendar and more. Let us know what tours you would be interested in for the remainder of the year and into 2015. Now is the time to start thinking of your winter getaway as well. Look-ing for a cruise? Want to rent a condo for a month in the south? Just need a weekend away? Give us a call and we can help. Another new feature on both web sites is the self booking feature. Have a small trip and don’t think you should bother us at the office (well, you can!) but you can also now book your hotels online right from our site. This technology is brought to you by Expe-dia… so if you want to “buy local” you can with Vagabond Tour and Travel. Happy Travels…Sally

P.S. Have ideas, want to do something different with vagabondGALS, email us,

[email protected], we would love to hear from you!
