3:00pm: Check into your vacation rental home and get settled! Get the lay of the land before heading out to explore the area.

6:00pm: When you’re ready for dinner, head to Home Team BBQ in The Inn at Aspen for some comfort food and South Carolina-style BBQ.

8:00pm: Return to your rental for an early night – tomorrow, the real fun begins!

DAY ONE

DAY TWO8:00am: In the light of the morning, head back over to Home Team BBQ for a satisfying breakfast, and get ready for a day of fun.

9:30am: Take the family over to Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES) and enlist a Naturalist guide to lead you on a private hike customized to your interests, whether it’s birding or wildflowers.

Insider Tip: It’s recommended to reserve your tour 48 hours in advance.

12:00pm: Ready for lunch? Visit Brunelleschi’s for delicious gourmet pizzas, pasta and salads.

1:30pm: Hit Aspen’s boutiques! You’ll find local artwork, t-shirts, baseball caps, jewelry and more. Stroll along the Pedestrian Mall and browse. Aspen is home to haute couture retailers such as Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior.

4:00pm: Time to wrap up your afternoon shopping and head back to the rental to clean up and get ready for dinner!

6:00pm: For your second dinner on the town, you can’t go wrong with bb’s, which serves contemporary cuisine with classic twists.

8:00pm: Big meals are sure to put everyone in a cozy state of mind, so cuddle up in your rental to enjoy your favorite movie together. Make sure you grab some popcorn at the grocery store on your way in!

DAY THREE8:00am: For a quick breakfast, visit Louis Swiss Pastry for an extensive selection of pastries, donuts, muffins, and freshly roasted coffee.

10:00am: Giddy up! Embark on a half-day horseback riding tour through the majestic Maroon Creek Valley with T-Lazy-7.

Insider Tip: Rides must be booked a minimum of 24 hours in advance, and lunch is included.

12:30pm: During your ride at the T-Lazy-7 Ranch, you’ll hop off and enjoy a box lunch with views of the Maroon Bells. You’ll get a sandwich, fresh fruit and fresh cookies! They have a vegetarian option and PB&J for the kiddos.

4:00pm: After a full day of activities, it’s probably time to unwind in your rental or enjoy some ZZZs on the balcony. Spend an extra hour pampering yourself before getting ready for dinner!

6:00pm: For an exciting culinary experience, visit Maru and indulge in seasonal Japanese dishes with locally farmed produce.

8:00pm: When everyone’s full from a delicious dinner, leave the kids with the grandparents back at the rental and head to Bootsy Bellows for some live music and tasty drinks.

DAY FOUR8:30am: Breathe in that fresh mountain air and head to Aspen Over Easy for a wide variety of eggs benedict and omelets, delicious crepes, coffee and espresso.

10:00am: Purchase some sightseeing tickets and ride the Silver Queen Gondola up to the top of Aspen Mountain with the family. Once you reach the summit, enjoy 360-degree views that seem to go on forever and take a short hike.

Insider Tip: They have lawn games and free kids activities to keep the little ones happy all morning long.

12:30pm: Enjoy lunch at The Sundeck right there atop Aspen Mountain. They’re known for the best made-to-order stir-fry dishes in town, so dig in!

2:30pm: Head back to the rental, grab your suits and a good book and head out to the pool to soak up some afternoon sun.

5:00pm: Get an early dinner at Mi Chola, which serves progressive Mexican cuisine in a casual, fun environment.

6:30pm: After dinner, catch a show at the historic Wheeler Opera House.

DAY FIVE7:00am: Because of their wide selection of breakfast treats, visit Louis Swiss Pastry again and go for that chocolate croissant you didn’t get last time!

8:00am: Get everyone ready and embark on a new kind of adventure. See our friends at Aspen Whitewater Rafting for a thrilling morning of whitewater rafting the whole family will love!

Insider Tip: Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Ask our local team for a special guest discount!

2:00pm: After your whitewater rafting adventure, rest up in your room with a good book.

5:00pm: Drive to nearby Snowmass and drop by Slopeside Lanes for an evening of dinner and entertainment. They have bowling, pool tables, foosball, air hockey, and a menu that features pizzas, burgers and a wide selection of beer.

Insider Tip: Call and reserve a lane the day before to make life easy.

8:00pm: After some good eats and friendly competition, head back to the rental and slip on your swimsuits for an evening dip in the pool or hot tub.

DAY SIX8:00am: Your last full day in the mountains calls for a big breakfast, so stop by Poppycock’s Café to get your fill.

Insider Tip: They’re famous for their Oatmeal Buttermilk pancakes!

9:45am: Visit one of the great area golf courses, such as the championship Aspen Golf Club, and enjoy a round of 9-holes or more along the beautifully manicured greens. If golf isn’t your game, hit the pool or take a stroll around town.

12:30pm: Enjoy lunch at Red Mountain Grill, conveniently located in the clubhouse at Aspen Golf Club.

Insider Tip: The restaurant offers takeout too, if you want to head back to your rental.

2:00pm: Visit The Aspen Art Museum, a non-collecting institution presenting the newest, most important evolutions in international contemporary art.

4:30pm: Before your last vacation dinner, get ready back at the rental, and then grab a cocktail or cold beer at Home Team BBQ.

6:00pm: Make dinner special at Pinon’s. Some say this Aspen restaurant is “the place,” featuring Colorado-inspired cuisine, prime steaks and fish, paired with an extensive wine list.

8:00pm: For your last night out on the town, take in a movie at Metropolitan Isis Theater.

DAY SEVEN7:30am Sadly, the day has come to leave Aspen. But don’t fret! The fun is far from over. Head over to Roxy’s Market and Cafe and enjoy a quick breakfast of pastries, bagels and breakfast wraps.

8:45am Bring the kids to the pool and wear them out before the drive or flight back home.

10:30am It’s time to clean up, pack up and check out of your rental. Don’t forget to double-check underneath the sofas and beds for personal items!
